Progress report for November 11-30
Friday, November 21 through Sunday, November 30
Nothing happened. Oh well!
Thursday, November 20
Released a corrected version of the game, fixing the walk-on-water problem the first version had. I'm thinking of redoing several sections of the game, as well. This isn't as scary as it sounds, because progress didn't pick up until October, anyway.
Wednesday, November 19
I added two treasures to Lakel Cave, only to find that weapons and armor can't be added to the party inventory, which is just silly.
Tuesday, November 18
Nothing again. This seems to happen from time to time.
Monday, November 17
Not much happened. I looked at the old Trilogy of Legends (predecessor of this game) document, and saw that there is a lot yet to add.
Weekend of November 14-16
Only minor progress, I removed the picture events that weren't working in the first town and did some testing to make sure I didn't remove the wrong events.
Thursday, November 13
I'm trying to figure out a good way to do characters walking through covered areas (such as a rooftop, treetops, and signs), and I tried out doing it event-based. It took too many events.
Then, I went for character-based. There wasn't a good way to get enough characters to display without too many events.
Finally, I went coordinate-based. I figured I did enough with it for one night last night.
Wednesday, November 12
Just thinking. Thinking how I'm going to handle walking through the treetops (probably a coordinate-based fade), as I ready the release of Episode 1. I plan for it to be before Thanksgiving, but we'll see, I guess.
