Fantastic! Love the floor with those hi-tech lines!!
Holy SHIT this looks cool. Looking really close to a PS1 title, probably the closest you could get on VXA.
Loveee the colors here.

The bird sorta reminds me of Dynablade. xD
Thank you vewy mushhhhh!! >w<)/
The PS1 aesthetic is something I want very much to get right. I'm slowly stashing away some coins and hopefully once I pull off a few games and solidify my skillset I'll be able to invest some with some guarantee of the results!

Things I wanna do (not in this game ofc but in a game similar to that)

A SaGa Frontier in-battle camera system (jump to 1:20)

A map engine that renders sprites Z distance (shrinking and zooming sprites as you walk across the field)

Graphical enhancements to the animation engine such as battleback swapping, screen dimming (instead of blacking out like I'm being forced to do), battler /projectile routes, particle effects, etc.

Realizing my ideas for graphics interfaces which are really weird and different and I have no clue how to realize them without a lot of time and effort (or hiring someone)

New, completely different character progression systems too (I have a lot of novel ideas but 0 programming skill)

this all might or might not be done in rpg maker depending on my budget, the people I find, etc. but they're part of a vision I want to realize xD

Some a bit more far-off ideas:

Hiring a 3D artist to help me with prerendered graphics for scenery (such as rendering a basic interpretation of my concept art for me to draw over, or fully rendering scenery based on my art, rendering monsters and characters based on my art for I to pixel retouch akin to ps1 techniques such as Azure Dreams and SaGa Frontier)

Making an actual 3D game with 2D characters such as BoF xD

And I still have ideas for even after that... I have many games worth of ideas and stuffs in my mind hahahah, hopefully I'll bring them to life :)

As for dynablade I see the similarity but I've never played kirby (I've watched it though! It was a fun cartoon!)
I think this would look better without the photoshop filters (but then again I hate filters so take this with a grain of salt). I find the filters isn't up par to the quality of your work (talking about the background here).

I usually don't like a mix of PA/NPA but this doesn't really shock me and I'm pretty difficult. You have talent, I just hope you get rid of those filters, it would a lot better IMHO.
thanks, but there are no filters there xD
As a matter of fact I don't even use photoshop x3
Or perhaps you're talking about the bottom part of the battleback?
Oops. My bad. I'm not personally fan of that texture but who cares. People seem to like it. Pixel art is looking fine though.
Yeah I myself think it's a tad too harsh. It's digital watercolor, but I could've toned it down... It's a new technique though, it'll improve /^w^)/

Hello boy! Mmm.. How did you do those lines in the floor? I love them!! Some script, maybe?
Thank you :D :D :D
So, I just drew them on Graphics Gale then added fancy glows on Photoshop. What I did use a script for, though, is to animate the checkerboard battern below the lines!

I used moghunter's animated battlebacks :>
