Brave Hero Yuusha EX

Well, I'll be frank. Brave Hero Yuusha is a game that holds a special place in my heart. After years of smaller projects, Yuusha was the first game I made that used all custom resources and attempted something on a larger scale than what I had been doing up to that point. Out of every game I've ever made, I think Yuusha was the one I was the happiest with.
While I've been working on and off on Crescent Prism over the last year and a half, I've admittedly been looking for a smaller scale project to help stave off the ever-looming threat of burnout. So for the past month or so, I've been looking back on the game I remember the most fondly and hoping to give it a bit of a facelift for a new generation of gamers (which by that I mean the exact same generation of gamers from the last time).
So came the idea of Brave Hero Yuusha EX.
The EX version will feature a number of improvements from the base game, with new visuals that aim to look a fair bit cleaner, more colorful, and more stylized. There will also be a newly-reimagined OST from Agent Ape, with the original soundtrack included so you can switch back and forth at any time! Some additional postgame content is also planned, so there's plenty of reason to give it a second go.
Also new to this version is the choice between male and female appearances for the hero, which you can change at any time:
You can also now skip random encounters when you are strong enough, similar to Crescent Prism:
And there you have it! I hope you'll all enjoy the second go at Yuusha when it's finished. So please look forward to more updates in due time.

Looking at these screenshots back to back is a wonderful display of how much you've improved at pixel art since Yuusha's completion. I hope to see more soon!
I am curious as to why the names of the characters have changed to classes. If there was a story-driven explanation in the original version, I must've missed it.

Thanks for your support, everyone! I was super nervous that people wouldn't like the newer look, haha.
Oh, you could always name the three characters whatever you wanted, and they're just tentatively Hero, D.Lord, and Princess in the database.

Wow it's been forever since I played Yuusha that I completely forgot something like that. I REALLY need to give this another playthrough.
