A debrief on the two-sprint creation process

(this game project completed in two six hour sprints)

Last weekend, for MVLympics part one, I misunderstood (due to suddenly developing a nasty case of selective illiteracy) the guidelines and submitted a game file that contained all my contest entries as sub-assemblies (Fail!) - then I thought I'd be good to go with the Expanded GamMak Threat! But of course I only had this oddball finale for the game I'd made and it didn't include all Four Heroes (just lots of alternate reality Harolds). So the work of this week was thinking through how to do it with something approaching coherence, throw some edited resources together (Why aren't there 'wounded' portraits for any of the stock characters!?) and then execute while building up a skill I didn't have previously (I have never made a cutscene before!). Thanks to the judges for suffering through!
