Battles

Alright, so how does damage happen in this game?
Things are calculated during one of three phases:

Normal Damage is damage done after calculating whose stance won.

Tie Damage is damage done when a tie occurs and is exempt from any special effects (such as the "Come at me, bro!" skill)

Override Damage is damage done by cheat skills that are calculated before anything else and nullifies the other two types of damage.

Regeneration occurs at the very end of every turn, after damage calculations.

All characters have the stats Attack, Health, Regen, and Tie Damage. Certain characters may possess MP as well, which is used in 'cheat skills'.
Attack determines how much damage you do, health determines how long you can last, Regen is essentially defense (it nullifies a portion of damage received) and may or may not save you from certain death. Tie damage occurs when you play the same hand as the competitor.

The Shop

After each round you will be given the opportunity to take a free powerup bonus from the shop. The shop currently offers boosts to the player's base stats, as well as 2 different skills.
The two skills are:

Come at me, bro! Doubles damage done but also doubles damage received. This is good for countering opponents with regen as it essentially halves their defensive ability.

Gun Stance A cheat skill that overrides all other stances and costs 1 MP to cast. Built correctly, this skill could end up unleash a devastating chain attack as a sure-kill method.

Expansion?

At the moment, this game is really easy to expand on. The basis is just a minigame, after all. All enemy stats are configured on their respective troops page, and otherwise the enemies are pretty similar to one another. Perhaps there will be more complex attack patterns in the future. We'll see...
