The presence of THE BUTCHER has scared nine sheep away from their home. As a party of intrepid adventurers, you must brave the elements and rescue these hapless sheep from their own folly.

RAMFORTH is a ~2 hour RPG created for the MVlympics event here on RMN. It is a turn-based RPG with a small open world to explore.

Old description, for the curious:

Save a decaying archipelago and the leader of Aremen!

In the beginning, there was a forest, and it was good. It followed the three-tile rule and had a variety of plants placed in it, with plenty of overlap. The Lord Aremen smiled.

Then came the Tyrants, beings who wielded the nature that Lord Aremen was creating. They sought to gain control of the world for themselves, with no need for an overlord. Lord Aremen, unable to affect his creation physically, asked some of his angels to enter the forest and lose their powers -- to become humans. And so, these mundane humans were able to beat back the Tyrants and establish a civilization. Again, the Lord Aremen smiled.

But now, the Archpriest Kenton has fallen terribly ill. The water is heavy, the skies rage unexpectedly, and the soil is weak. For the first time in thousands of years, Lord Aremen must affect the world. He sends down his six most capable angels to help Kenton and restore peace to the Holbrook region.

Will they be able to save Kenton, and thus belief in Lord Aremen? Will they face Tyrants, or worse? Find out... in Soul Precipice.

What Was Uncontrollable, Is Held ~ Waiting for CTB

Hello all!

Just wanted to let you know that Soul Precipice isn't dead, haha! I'm waiting for Yanfly to release his CTB system since I'd rather use that than the default battle system for this.

Versalia and I are also taking our time making areas spiffy. (Some of the screenshots already need to be updated.)

So, don't worry! You shouldn't clutch your cookies too hard.
im so sorry luchino i totally understand

Feel free to play RAMFORTH in the meantime.

Medium RPG. Difficulty is low to medium, but can be a bit tough in the early-mid game. Enemies appear to be more intelligent than usual, I'm thinking in particular the spiders that spam blind and sleep. Every round they just spam sleep until the entire party is asleep. They made sure never to use sleep on someone who already is. It was sad sitting there watching 2 spiders keeping my entire party in the Z's.

In the early game the bats stun, and everything hit pretty hard. It's nice for you to gimme heal/save crystals every few meters, but it does lower the difficulty. Bosses are also on the easy side, but I had to plan ahead a bit since there is no group heal spell.

Some of the characters had pretty poor starter spells, like marsha, a mage with like no offensive magic. Therese remains the hardest hitter for the entire duration of the game. Harold had that attack-down skill but it was pretty weak, found it better to switch to the fire mage who had the only other group target spell. Then we have the healer and Mr. Always Goes First. Not bad.

Spent the longest time in front of a locked door, came here and found the solution. This is a nice medium length game, thanks.
Don't hate me cause I'm Cute :)
Found two sheep that had been in hiding that I missed earlier.
Have the key you know where (don't want to give the location away :)
Now I'm heading back to the Fort to kick some nasty, monster behind :)

EDIT: Hot damn, I'm an Expert Sheep Handler.....ain't I just wonderful :)

Thanks Craze, for a very enjoyable game.
Oh, have you talked to all the sheep? You need to talk to them at the ranch to get the key. There are nine total.
Don't hate me cause I'm Cute :)
You're missing sheep. You gotta keep poking around the world until you find all the sheep.

RATS, thought I would find the last of them at the Fort :(

Oh well, back to sheephunting :)

Thanks for the info.....
the world ends in whatever my makerscore currently is
Can I RAM BACKWARDS? or no? Is that blasphemy

wwwweeeellllllll, even if your not thrilled with MV, I still enjoyed this game
very, very much.
BUT, it's not nice allowing me to run around all but ONE dungeon...
"Tis locked"?? another damn locked door, and no clue as to how I can find the key ?

Please help me :) Either tell me where the key is OR point me in the right direction without making it to hard on me to find it :)
my dislike of mv ruined it. i should just rename this page RAMFORTH and label it complete

edit: i have done so
When cometh the real game~?
A complete demo.

The story has nothing to do with the actual Soul Precipice game; it's an frankenstein's monster of the main game with different bosses. Full arc, but not the REAL game.
Self-proclaimed Puzzle Snob
Is this complete or a demo?
That's REALLY bizarre. I'll have to replay and see if I can get that to trigger. Thanks again.
Do you mean "froze to a stand" as in "it was boring," or that the game stopped working? Did it resume (if it was a "not working" issue)? Any more info would be much appreciated.

The game nearly stopped working. The music stopped, you couldn't choose attack etc. I clicked in an out of the game and waited until it continued. After some battles it worked again as before.
I'm pretty sure Magnet works; I tested it against the elementalist and the final boss! It doesn't attract group spells because... they're group spells. Like Hero/Taunt, it just forces single-targets to hit you. The only exception I can think of might be Ruination due to it being a multi-hit, but I'll have to test.

Thanks for playing my silly Not-Demo. =)
Beat your Ramforth with LV 15.
This Game nearly froze to a stand while fighting after defeating the elementals.
And I think Magnet didn't work, esp. against group spells.
It's MV RTP with a lot of edits by myself and Versalia -- much of it is recolored/moved/animated/etc. separately from the original assets. Thanks all <3

edit: i chose Soul Precipice 100% because it sounded cool/edgy after I planned the plot outline
This looks and sounds interesting. I like the graphics too. Did you make them yourself or is the MV RTP just that good?
You're magical to me.
"Soul Precipice" is a super awesome name! :DDDD Also looking forward to seeing all the Aremen references, too!
"nothing can beat the power of gay"?
That was a joke libby 0.0 It wasn't bothering me or anything
I was saying it's insta-awesome since it's by Craze
Um, no. Because it uses the RTP well and sounds interesting. It's a new game that is notable. I don't make distinctions between graphical styles - all I ask is that they're used well and the game sounds interesting with a good presentation. This ticks all those boxes.
