Secret of the Geraki

A few years ago, in a little Greek village, texts dating to approximately 300 BC were found, referring to an ancient people regarded as highly advanced. Though little evidence of their existance was found, archeologists worldwide were intrigued by the seemingly mythological people, and dubbed the mysterious culture "Geraki," after the village the texts were found in.

For years, teams of archeologists searched for evidence of the Geraki's existance, but all attempts were fruitless. Most people thought the Geraki are nothing more than a myth: A bedtime story told in the region of Elis.

But recently, a plaque has surfaced near Pyrgos, featuring a symbolic language that has never before been seen, as well as ancient Greek. The finder, Dr. Groet Fordale, one of the world's greatest Geraki enthusiasts, is convinced this Rosetta Stone is the first direct proof of the Geraki's existance. News of the plaque has reinvigorated the spirit of many young archeologists, looking for fame and fortune.

Secret of the Geraki is an Action/Adventure game that draws heavy inspiration from both La Mulana and the Legend of Zelda series, intended to feature both difficult puzzles and combat.

Currently, the game is about 33% complete. There's a playable alpha that is playable until the game's second boss.

In its current form, the game focusses heavily on gameplay. The narrative will be expanded upon in later alphas.
