Howdy, everyone! Just a quick update on how the writing of all the cases are going. You may recall that I said I was shooting to have all the cases written by this Friday (at least I think I said that). Unfortunately, that's not happening. I'm going to be honest, I've really been struggling with writing the third case. I completely changed the premise of it multiple times and even then I just struggled and struggled with it. I don't know if you've all played the Ace Attorney and Danganronpa games, but I was desperately trying to avoid the "curse of case three" (as I like to call it) that plagues those games. I tend to think that the third cases are the worst cases in those games. Of course, that's totally subjective, but I was trying to avoid case three being not so great in Danganronpa Team.

That proved to be very challenging, because I think case one and two turned out too well. I think I inadvertently made a fairly high bar for myself, and I had to try to meet that. Now, I've just finished writing the case, and while I think I still like case one and two a bit more, I think the third case turned out fairly well. It's got its fair share of twists and turns in it, and good luck figuring out who the murderer is on your own. I don't think anyone can do it. I think you'll all succumb to despair before the big reveal.

As of the time of writing this progress report I've still got two cases left to write. The fourth case and the fifth case. I'm not going to bother writing the sixth case right now because that's basically just the case where all of the overarching story is revealed and such, and I've already completely worked that out in my mind. So that's nothing to be concerned about. But I'll be working all weekend to get cases four and five written, so cross your fingers that writing those goes more smoothly than case three did. And cross your fingers that the cases end up being...good. We'll just have to wait and see how they turn out.

So that's all I have to report for now! I'll make another progress report once I've written cases four and five!
