Advice: nothing too long. A long ringtone is good in real life because you often need to hunt for your phone and, on the caller's end, they're just hearing the usual dialing noise. But in a game characters tend to answer more quickly. Like in Metal Gear games, for example.

Yeah, you're right. I was thinking about making something like that. But it depends, as I'm thinking about implementing it in the actual gameplay. And this is a cellphone, not exactly a codec. So, hrm. Oh, well. We'll see.
Oh, I just mean that, in a game, the player will have to sit through the entire ringtone first. If it's a short sound, that's not a problem. If it's the chorus of a song, that'd get annoying to sit through every time she gets a call.
