Hello guys!! Welcome to my review for Fire RMNblem by Dyhalto! It is a very fun Tactical RPG inspired by the Fire Emblem series (which I really love). It is made with SIM RPG maker 95, which I heard is a very old engine. The dev managed to get past the old-ness of the engine though and created an amazing game. :)

First Impressions:

The first time I got into the game, I already felt very nostalgic due to its' design. I was also quite happy to see that characters in the game are actually based off popular people here in RMN. Liberty is the main character who's wrecking havoc to her enemies. (Funnily, I think the main antagonist is also based on the admin Kentona.) I was just easily hooked because... FIRE EMBLEM. :D

Story:

The story is simple, Libby goes on a journey defeating a bunch of enemies to reach The evil King Kentonus and put a stop to him once and for all. Along the way, Libby finds friends and comrades who are willing to join her rebellion against the Kins. It is very effective in bringing about nostalgia from the NES era. :)

Gameplay:

Gameplay is just like the FE games, it is tactical and features the very same sprite animations during battles, I just love it! I'm not really sure if the weapon triangle was applied here though, but all I know is that it's very fun and if you love the FE games, then you will love this game. I also noticed that you can visit optional dungeons to hone your skills in battle, which is really cool. At first I thought that Gourd was very weak, but I believe there's a patch made to make him a little stronger. Gourd died on my first try. :( Overall, the gameplay is fun and manages to captured the essence of a good tactical RPG.

Graphics:

The game features some custom old-school anime art-styles for the characters. These arts are reminiscent to the old-school FE games, which I really adored. The usage of the sprites and tiles are all very effective as well. The game didn't fail to capture the classic FE feel. So good job with that! :)

Music:

The music was very simple yet effective too. I find the player theme to be quite memorable and I loved it. Most of them are very 8-bit in style, which suits the game perfectly.

OVERALL:

Overall, this game is a perfect FE Fan game! :) I gave it a 5 stars because why not! XD No one has ever made an FE Fan game in this site and this deserves the recognition! :) (Correct me if I'm wrong, cause there could already be FE inspired games in this site that I just missed.). The game has tons of potential, and with the developer's current skills in FE Fan games, I think that he could probably make more cool FE Fan games in the future. xD :)

Two 5-star reviews in one evening? Must be my birthday today. Better double check the calendar.

Thanks for the nice review, Starmage :D
I feel bad that I missed a bunch of RMNers, but I didn't forget you ;D You'll have to progress much further though.
