This will make any event out of screen (this script have a buffer, which means event out of screen but in x tiles near screen will be updated) not be updated.

This also provides 2 names for event, which one is for always be updated event, and one is for decorated event (will not be updated).

You will get it if you have too many events on the map because They will be updated (of course Sprites).
And yes, the Events (Events' actions) won't cause lag because it has Yield.

Good script, btw.
Believe it or not, there seems to be a 3 - 4 FPS drop when using this script. Without this script everything seems to be around 54 - 51 FPS. With the script its 51 - 47 FPS.

I am using a laptop without the best processor or graphics card. Maybe that has something to do with it.
You'll also get a long wait for opening the menu if you have a large number of party members at once. If your game lets you recruit over a hundred party members, you may have to wait a few seconds for opening the menu. This is trouble for people making Megami Tensei games, Pokemon games, or other games where you can recruit monsters.
This won't disable/alter Parallel Process or Autostart Events will it?

I've used one before that literally disabled or shuts out all off-screen events which makes things pretty difficult when you have those story/area-related parallel's off in the corner you need to have at all times.
