hm maybe if the game making contests didn't work we could try individual aspects of game making (ie- art, music, maps, etc). prizes could be as simple as a special honourary sig or something.... game contests take a lot of commitment..

every chance i get without being creepy, i try to talk to someone (ie. bus stops, train rides, concerts, restaurants, bars. i love the idea of how people can come in and out of your life so easily... i know the life story of so many people i don't actually know. its a cool/strange feeling.

Thanks for all the welcomes guys, you'll definitely see me posting a bunch (I choose internet over having a real life... :-\).
Hmm, I just read about release day! I'd like to make something for this, but I should I should ask in here: What platforms does this community generally use? I'm halfway through a mini game in flash, but maybe that would be out of place.
Back to the game I was tlaking about in my OP, what would people recommend out of the RPGmaker series? Which one is most popular here? Is VX really worth learning?
