If you could remake any videogame which one would it be?

Lufia was great as in, besides the slow walk speed.
I'd remake 7th Saga. Slight graphical enhancements, more balanced characters, more intelligent reliationship with other characters, a few nice secrets, and that'd be about it.
Man it was a great game.
You are my hero.
I loved this game. The North American version was messed up because of a stupid bug in the stat progression system, which made everyone think (know) it was unreasonably difficult to beat apprentices at higher levels.
Yeah, Esuna and Valsu are particularly NASTY to face at high levels. That's why you make those two your FRIEND if at all possible!

The general concensus appears to be 3 hours. Meaning the actual MAKING of the game
should take 3 hours.
All music and graphics planning should be prepared beforehand so that the only things you're worrying about in those 3 hours is mapping, battles (if applicable) design, event-making and story.

[Demo] MAGE DUEL
Guys, anyone who is having problems with HP replenishing isn't realizing one cool
thing;
Right after a battle, you can challenge the Dwarven Pitmaster, and regardless of whether you win or lose the battle, you'll get full HP/MP It's SO much quicker than running back and forth from the resting area!
Just thought i'd put that out there.
Max, i'll get back to playing and i'll try to give you a comprehensive list of
who I can hit with Smite Undead. Don't mess with my Holy Staff, man! It's my only
FRIEND!
I did indeed use Calm Mind when silenced, and yes, it does work. I was just making
an observation about the logistics of it.
Since you asked nicely, I will review your game, my friend!

[Demo] MAGE DUEL
author=Max McGee link=topic=1918.msg37127#msg37127 date=1223706961Props to you on playing all four classes, i.e. having truly completed the demo.
I would LOVE a longer version of your opinion, maybe in the form of a review on the site, if possible! I saw your comment on the site actually, but yes, this is where all the lively Mage Duelhypechat is happening.
Please tell me more about this build you had for Cinzano (like the name) so I can see if I can do an enemy dude based on it.
Well, after having tinkered with the "stronger" classes (obviously, Conjurers have that
lovely broken Demon Scourge, which makes them pretty much mop the floor with anything
that's thrown at them) this was the scheme I ended up with:
Cinzano:
Healing Salve
Calm Mind
Force of Will
Smite Undead
and my Illusionist halfsie was always a toss-up between Mirror Image and Slumber,
usually i'd go MI because it had more uses in the long run, but they pretty much
(at least as far as I saw) had the same usage; to keep the enemy at bay while I
powered up with Force of Will, which practically doubled the effect of my Smite Undead... by the way, I found it to be a useful spell, but I'm pretty sure you didn't intend certain people to be able to be HIT with this spell...it is kind of
broken, in a way, But it's nice you threw the healer a bone!
Calm Mind was my favorite of the "status effect" healing skills. Problem is...
how do you unsilence yourself with a skill that has been silenced? The cure demands
that the disease never happen! It would be nice if this spell could ALSO be
cast as a preventative measure...
I'm sure it would be tons more useful in doubles battles, of course. One lovely thing you could add to the game would be a piece of equipment that protects from silence... I noticed your game made a conscious effort to OMIT that kind of protection. Oh yeah, all OTHER stat effects were covered by one trinket or another, but Silence? Basically you told us to go fuck ourselves and do as Burl suggests in his intro: "I don't care if it comes down to you beating each other with your staves and canes!".
Still, none of the enemies were too overpowering to where my smacking them with
my holy stick wasn't an option. The fight against Alex was a close shave, though.
I did it, but it took slightly longer than say, just blasting his ass with Demonic Scourge or a few Evoker blasts.
Ok, now I am just rambling on. Good job, you made something worth playing armed with
nothing but the stuff VX gave you to work with! (and Black Mages kick ass, my friend. Nice musical choice there).
If you'd like a review, I can provide it. Although it would probably be best
to wait until the entire thing is released, is it not?
If you want a demo review, I'll do it (and i'll be less disorganized about it, I
promise)

Ok, so we dedicate one day to make the game (one-three hours tops)
and then on the same day we play them all? Or do we do the playoff on a separate day?

author=Max McGee link=topic=2199.msg37131#msg37131 date=12237075661 hour game would be the max, but certainly if anyone wanted to make something shorter, that's fine too!
To be clear, Asalieri, we're talking about a game that is made in one hour, not a game one hour long.
Incidentally, three hour is the basic minimum time I can handle without having some kind of a breakdown, so I vote for that.
GOOD LORD! One hour... to MAKE? yeah, my experience hasn't accumulated to where I could
make anything playable in one hour! heh heh.
You'll end up with a barren landscape and maybe 5 events, and no battles!
or..
nothing BUT battles!
Sounds intriguing now, heh heh.
