The old man do the dance :O 7/10 (never played FF4 to the point where he appears).
Wow... you played what, 10 minutes of it before you decided it wasn't your cup of tea?

Looks like the car you get to race with against Johnny in Chrono Trigger.
Or that rocket from an old 30's or 40's cartoon called "Dancing on the Moon"
(god, that really was a wierd reference wasnt it?)
Original, though! 10/10

Yeah but if everyone wouldn't sell all at the same time, this wouldn't really be an issue to begin with. Better off to be kinda poor now than VERY poor later for a REALLY REALLY LONG TIME.
Absolutely! but now is now, and i'm investing my cash in food... the only thing that
will have value in the event of a total crash.

Yeah, and then everyone's going to be waiting in the bread lines wondering what happened.
Yeah, I don't intend to be in those lines. I'm going to be protecting my well-stored
food from people who DIDN'T see the troubles ahead coming!
At any rate, it's always a good idea to have a contingency plan.

The only cash you can buy with for the long run is cash you can afford to blow
right now and not worry about it vanishing for a couple of years, then coming back
sometime in a couple of years.
And disposable income isn't coming by easily these days for the average buyer!
Best to start stockpiling non-perishables to weather the storm before you go hungry
tomorrow, eh?

The point is to hang onto stocks for the long run. You don't buy high and sell low, even if the stock price might go lower. Selling now just solidifies your losses.
Right, but when are you going to buy? when it's down to 0? Buying is what'll make it go
back up! And right now, no one is doing any of that because of the rampant fear!
Right now the common thought process is "cut our losses now before it's too late!".

If not much is known about Esperolo, how could anyone know he's got
personal reasons for helping Richard? Wouldn't it just appear that
he's working for the man and that's all?
In the game, I make references to his "personal reasons." When I say, "not much is known," I mean the player (not necessarily the protagonist) isn't really sure what Slade's true intentions are.
Ah but it is now known to the player that he has personal reasons. That is probably more
information than you probably wanted to leak if the idea was to keep him mysterious!

d'oh.
you should probably have waited a little more to hype it up! in two weeks it could be forgotten, you know!
Fortunately for you, my mind liked the town screenshot, heh heh.

Massive selling by panicked investors was a major cause of the Great Depression.
See now why this isn't a good idea?
The problem is, even if you don't sell, everyone else is. It's a spiral downwards once
panic sets in. Expect tomorrow to be even worse than yesterday, and so forth.
It was a major cause of the First Great Depression, and by god, it will be a cause for
the second one as well. At this point a depression appears unavoidable.
