Relations with The Gender of Your Preference

"sex is overrated"

That's a rather hostile/resetful-sounding answer for having come from someone who hasn't tried it.

That's akin to animosity.

The only hypothetical question that matters...for game developers who are also grownups.

You liked it, Clest?

Ah, you only liked it cause' it had Frog in it. :)

Relations with The Gender of Your Preference

Actually, it's really just the intellectual virgins. The "regular" virgins don't tend to be so negative about it. They're more hopeful and craving it than rejectful and hating it, like the former.

Remarkable lines of some video games.

"I don't have anything to lose but my life... and I got that for free!"
-Setzer, Final Fantasy 6

"I don't smoke, but tonight I'm gonna smoke you!"
-Super Macho Man, Mike Tyson's Punch Out!!!

"I am a broken slot machine. But the Sanchez Brothers and their friend are a very cheerful trio... They will make you happy. Would you like to insert a buck?"
-Sign on the slot machine in the desert in Earthbound.

"I'm Pancho" "I'm Pincho" "I'm Tomas Jefferson"
-the 3 Mexicans who ARE the slot machine in the desert in Earthbound

I think people are being far too concrete about opinions. I have never taken a small puppy and suffocated it inside a pool of green jello. It may be fun, it may not. From my personal perception, it wouldn't. Can my opinion change? Sure. But I don't think it is an example of something I need to experience first to create an opinion on.

I believe there have been studies that shows the brain's ability to judge things based upon past experiences and estimating how well you would enjoy it. Your brain is not always right, but you cannot fault a person entirely for having an assumption and sticking with it.

Invalid. You're comparing apples and oranges here. We're talking about SEX, after all.

Assumptions are one thing. Nothing tops actual experience when it comes to forming a believable, concrete and insightful opinion regarding something. Who would you say has a better understanding of plumbing and thus can provide better insight, an actual plumber or some kid who has never fixed anything in his entire life?

Besides. Sex is really something you have to experience in order to have a truly valid opinion regarding it. If someone who never played a videogame you love comes up to you and says "that game SUCKS", would you truly consider his opinion valid?

Don't make me laugh, now!

Addendum: Ever notice the opinion that "sex sucks" or "sex isn't worth the effort" or "I have better things to do with my time" is almost always held by some pseudo intellectual who has too much of an ego for their own good? That's how they perpetuate the stereotype that nerds are un-layable.

Asa you don't get the job because as far as I can tell you haven't made anything. Which makes me a sad panda. Make a game you critical bum so everyone can tear it apart, we don't need you to be the GameCriticBoy of RMN. :P

What, you want me to make any crap? See, right now I don't feel any inspiration hitting me. You'll just have to be a sad panda until I can make something I can live with. (although it's looking like it'll be mostly RTP from me.)

Although I would love to be torn apart, though...

What annoys you in a game?

i'm gonna go with Clest's answer. My sentiments are in there somewhere!

Leave it to the Italians to resort to shit like that in order to score goals.

As if fouling the opposing team, diving and acting weren't enough.
