I tried. But my inexperience hates me.

You're kidding, right? You know how to solve the problem, as you have the file right there!

EDIT: perhaps you can go into RM and make the game folder again and reupload it?

Horrible Game Endings

any game that CONGRATULATES you for finishing it? That's a bad ending.

My First Game

Lizard, wouldn't it be better if you reuploaded the game with the correct files attached?

Greetings

Don't post lots, LizardBite! Post awesomes!

Guess the Game!!!

Here's another one for your guessing enjoyment:

Map Making 101

I would say that a river can't possibly be 3 tiles long and still LOOK like a river.

The 3 tile rule would make towns like Hauksness in Dragon Warrior I:

I think studying the classic games and taking proportions into account makes a lot more sense than putting in 3 grass tiles, stopping yourself and going "OH NO, I have to put a DIRT tile on there next or there will be too much grass in this patch!".

I see. Rephrase or leave it?

Also, sorry ONCE MORE for the healing, it's cut down A LOT in the current version on my drive.

And it's an RPG. Without a method of healing, the system is broken.

I would rephrase it somehow. We know there's no alcohol in there, just your boss fight. I don't think in retrospect that it really fits the scene entirely.

Well sure, healing is a staple in RPG's. The problem I see is your bullets at that point in the game are doing 15-30 hp damage each time, and they heal 50hp immediately, and they do it compulsively. That makes for some long drawn out battles that border on the ridiculous. Moreover, it's a western; you can make an even bigger
statement with your game by making healing something you scarcely find in your game.
Perhaps make it so only hospitals can heal you or something.

All things I definitely have ideas on how to fix (now that I know they're problems!). Also, I didn't mean to come off like I'm unwilling to change, because I most certainly do want my games to improve and be enjoyable for people to play. I'm just in something of a tight spot with this particular game, but I'm still willing to move things around within the realm of logical consistency (read above, house/tree issue).

Well, I would submit to you that it's a fantasy realm. In fact, its' YOUR fantasy realm, and so if a tree uprooted itself and moved to another spot, you don't need
to explain why unless it's a part of your plot.

If you know a map can use some modifying, it would be advisable to make changes without worrying about the continuity regarding the first 3 games. I don't think too many people are going to care about the continuity if they're having fun playing your game.

Ultimately, the goal is to entertain the player. The only place where continuity really matters in a sequel is the main plot itself.

See my sig? The phrasing of your words there was what I was making fun of.
