... Ya, all my stuff is kinda on hiatus too, due to many, many other projects and other significantly more personal reasons. I'd still like to maintain my reserved ID's, just thought I should declare hiatus officially.

What are you thinking about? (game development edition)

Step 1: Learn how to move a 3d model through 3d space while retaining a 2d camera and movement scheme. Easy enough once I learn the language. Step 2: Figure out how to cause the camera to rotate into a secondary 2d plane when the 3d object heads into a northbound pathway, causing camera movement to become S -> N, rather than W -> E. This may take some time. Step 3: Profit.

First two steps that I can realistically do to make a pseudo open world side scrolling beat-em'-up in Unity 3D... once I'm in a position to access tutorials anyways. =.=;

That aside, I am working on way too many RPGMaker projects that are making absolutely no headway for a myriad of different reasons. These reasons vary from problems with story to lack of scripting knowledge to a general feeling of 'who'd play this?'.

For example, there is a title-less game that I'm working on where the player plays as a demon girl with an Action Battle System in place and randomly placed events, but really no thoughts for storyline. So far what I've set up is fun enough. The player runs around a heavily pitfall filled area, fighting off randomly placed enemies with the goal of earning gold and gaining levels and abilities, eventually meeting the requirements to open the boss gate. There needs to be more balancing in place as the boss more or less turns you into a fine paste in one hit, but that's not what's important right now.

The real problem right now is figuring out what the demon girl that is the player even really does. I'd rather not make a game with no plotline or an excuse plotline. For this there are two main possibilities in my mind: The demon girl is some sort of demon lord trying to take out several other demon lords for no currently identifiable reason, or the demon girl is a demon in the service of being summoned and is therefore summoned by several different people for varying reasons throughout the game.

Well, most of the problems (other than some shortcomings of the ABS =.=;) can likely be overcome if I just keep hacking at it with the rusty cleaver of determination, so I should probably just do that... Sometime... In the near future... Probably...

Personally, if I could modify the game I would use Kevincalanor's BG material in place of the other BG's in question. Just my thoughts.

Anyways, hello again everybody! I STILL HAVEN'T DONE ANY STORY CONTENT!!!

I have, however, created some more random tachie stuff through modification of materials, including parts from Kevincalanor's DarkComet_Model_2.psd. Mostly alternate outfits for a few characters.

Well, that's about all I have to report. For some reason, I have trouble actually focusing on making Heartache 101 content for more than a couple days. =.=; Oh well, absolutely everything else I am working on right now is making slow progress as well, so... Yay.

Yup. That exactly. Well, at least I'm getting better at tachie work. I was wondering though; there is a great deal that didn't end up on my uploaded tachie expansion PSD due to it just being simple edits (well, in my eyes anyways), do you guys think I should add some of those to it?

Also, Haruka isn't quite as outlined as I thought (some scrapping, some expansion... mostly scrapping.), she just wasn't going where I wanted. So ya.

I'm working on (I'm using that phrase very loosely here) a fighting game. I'm currently just trying to make a working Mugen version of it so that I can play it and tweak it. Due to the prototype nature of the Mugen version, the characters are not being developed to be compatible with other Mugen characters. There are currently nine characters who are in varying degrees of having their moves storyboarded, their general designs decided on and some of their moves thrown into the game (albeit with stickman placeholder sprites due to... laziness^.^;). There are also some ideas/designs for stages floating around.

I have nearly adequate knowledge on how to code moves in Mugen, amongst other things, but I don't have the patience for extended periods of sprite work on the scale I've set for myself (one of the shortest characters has a standing sprite of 125x400 pixels ^.^;).

The game will feature four buttons for attacks, two buttons for unique character abilities, a gauge that fills by fighting that activates a temporary character based boost, a hyper bar and round ending finishers.

Orrrrr, I'm just reading too much into it. ^.^ Either way, just ignore the previous thing I had said and rejoice(?) at the news of Haruka's route being fully outlined! Now just to go through the tedium of continually starting up Heartache 101 every time I make/change a story event!

Mostly just popping in to say I'm not dead yet, though I have not made any progress on my routes. Mostly being distracted by far too many sporadic projects not the least of which is the fighting game I'm working on (I have three of nine characters partially storyboarded, and a bunch of development on all of them otherwise) Oh, but I have been doing some tachie work this entire time, so I guess that's something.

Really like the new parts Kevincalanor. ^.^

Oh, I was kinda wondering if I could be directed to where one might be able to spout about ones game ideas and possibly gain some interest/help on this site? Ahhh, but how this question doesn't fit here. =.=;

Anywho, still no real progress to speak of. Well, I did sorta start making Eienji Rie's intro story... ya. Turns out that after several years of not actually writing anything, I'm a little rusty. ^.^; That, and the tedium of having to sit through the story hashing every time you make a little correction... =.=; Well, I am going to need more patience with this kinda thing anyways.

I also haven't really gotten much done due in no small part to my mind currently jumping between three developmental states: Work on my Heartache 101 stuff, work on my current comic idea and improve my art skills, work on my fighting game. If I could make any tangible progress in the first and third, I'd be very happy.

Well, there is kinda something tachie related again. I mentioned the creation of a rich girl's school a while back that I was going to make available for creators to make characters for. I've finally decided on a final detail that's been driving me nuts and now I'm ready to post the uniforms final appearance. I might just retcon it into a co-ed school, but that's not important.

-EDIT- Ah! I also meant to request that Eienji Rie and Ichini Sanshi be put into the 'Other' section of Kevincalanor's ClassChart. I'd request more, but they're the only ones I know the classification of for sure yet. ^.^;

I wouldn't upload your custom parts as a single PNG, BDFalcon. A zip file that contains PNGs that we can use "open as layers" on, certainly. Though, the idea of doing a PSD file that showcases your custom parts would be equally awesome, if not more so.

I was actually still referring to the hair individually when I was talking about uploading a .png. I'd like to think I'm smart enough not to slap all of my parts into a single .png image and say "There! Have at it!", but hey you never know. ^.^; Though I can easily understand your arrival at the conclusion that you had come to, so it's fine. ^.^

Now you won't have to! An incomplete .zip-ed .psd of my custom parts, including those eyes, is newly available here! Prepare to be underwhelmed as it only contains what I consider to be truly 'complete' amongst my custom parts, which isn't much. ^.^; and even some of those parts are visually 'iffy'. =.=;

So, after these two I only have one character to create for Sakura's route to be as beefy as I need it to be. Also, new custom hair for the community to use after I stop being so freaking lazy about finishing my custom parts and throwing them into a zipped .psd and uploading it to my locker! (I guess I could always just upload it as a 650x1193.png, then people could just drop it into their image editing software application thingy to do with it as they please.) NOW! Enough unnecessary longwinded-ness!
