I want to be a writer
So, after toying around with RPG Maker for the last few months, something has dawned on me... I don't enjoy it. I don't enjoy the technical aspects of game development, I don't enjoy developing custom art; I simply get zero satisfaction from it. My aspirations lay elsewhere.
I want to write. That's not to say I want to develop an idea for a game and then have someone else create it for me; I don't want that. I want to work together with a team, crafting a world together and help them put their ideas into words. I realise that the point of RPG Maker is to not necessarily need a team - but I don't enjoy working solo.
I'd be happy to write a script for somebody else's idea (just stressing the point that my intentions aren't to have someone make my game for me), I just don't know how to get started as a writer. Especially within this community, where it seems that people look down upon those who don't want to do the more technical stuff. Like somehow they're lazy for not building an entire game by their self?
I guess I'm just asking for advice/thoughts on how/where to get started crafting and honing my talents as a writer in the game developing world.

I'm fairly certain the poll is for people to vote which game they would prefer the OP to demake. If that's the case, it doesn't bode well for the project... You need to make games for yourself, not for others. If you create something you love, then other people will love it too.

Yes, you get the option. I'd like a cut scene to introduce each character, and then offer the option to select one. The other five will appear, and come in and out of your party as the story progresses.

[RMXP] Multiple 'Main Characters'
For my game (a Pokemon/Digimon hybrid) I want multiple 'PokeDestined', giving the player the choice between which one they would like to control. So, for each character they select, the gameplay and story will vary.
Is this achievable? And if so, how difficult would it be to implement?
If it makes a difference, I want six playable characters (a character to represent each contest stat, plus a character to represent balance).

Is the stealing point aimed at me for torrenting? Because, like I said it's only to decide if the pack is with the money spent. I'd never use a pack without paying for it.
I hadn't considered the commercial use aspect, which I agree makes it a pretty good deal. I'd still say that not all of the packs are of great quality. And, my torrent 'trial' method may be too morally grey for some people who just outright buy the product, only then to regret wasting money on things they'll never use.

Am I the only person that finds the 'official' resource packs to be ridiculously overpriced? Especially considering that some of them aren't very good.
Yes, some of them are worth it. But a few of the resource packs just aren't worth the money... I wouldn't even use some of them for free, let alone pay $20+ for them.
I'm sure this is probably frowned upon, but I normally torrent a resource pack to decide if it's worth it before I pay the money. I'm all for supporting artists (assuming they get any of the money?), I just want to make sure the money spent is worth it first.
