Akemi Homura plays Born under the rain

author=shayoko
well to be fair on the cheating i play more for the story and characters then the battles.

That's rather ironic, given how you quit Master of the Wind so early. Despite the amount of random battles in MotW, the story and characters are still the game's strong point.

Speaking of heavily story-driven games, I'm amazed you don't seem to have played "The Way" yet. It's very old, but still one of the best RPG Maker games in existence (won 25+ Misaos), and it has an option to turn random battles off. The story is very complex, and there are as many theories about the game as there are players.

A quick look at a few characters in MGL

...Reinhardt looks suspiciously familiar. XD I think I know where this is going.

World Remade

You know, I wouldn't mind a non-playable version of World Remade - I enjoyed the long cutscene of Stoic's past from MotW since it felt like watching and reading an animated book. If you ever decided to "remake" it in a different form, it could work as a set of cutscenes. ...Unless those are harder to make than an actually playable game.

Anastasia(Is this the same game? link 1 link 2)
Angel Omen*

Yes, that's the same Anastasia. Made by Orig who hasn't been seen on RM.net for years. The sequel to the game is still on this site, though it's been cancelled since 2009.

Angel Omen was made by Kalenovent-Mevin - the prologue was released on GamingW in 2004, and hasn't been seen since the site vanished.

I was just wondering if there was a complete walkthrough for this anywhere? I'm having loads of fun and have about 24 hours in but I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of sidequests even though I explore thoroughly.

I use this one, though it's for an older version of the game. http://everlongrpg.proboards.com/thread/946/walkthrough-continues

World Remade

So guys, um... is this game really just on hiatus or have you given up on it? Just kind of curious since it's been 2-3 years since the latest update.

Also, just thought I'd mention I was one of the testers. 8D (I think my nickname was Raiden while the Solest forums still existed. Yes, I'm still around after all these years.)

Everlong

Found a bug in version 3.31. Whenever I try to open this chest in Cascade Caverns, there's a "monster chest" sound effect and the screen goes black.

Master of the Wind

I've played through MotW twice and it's still one of my top favorite RPG Maker games. I love the characters for their incredibly engaging personalities, the storytelling since it feels more like a good book than a game and all the references / political undertones (like Yaled the Hammer).

The battles are fun and easy, and tbh, I thought the second-to-last boss was harder to fight than the actual final battle. XD I remember the mini-games forcing me to quit years ago since my old computer couldn't handle the controls... after getting my laptop, things got so much easier. Uy.

...One of my favorite things about the game is the cutscene from Stoic's past. It takes like 40 minutes, but it's so well-written that I didn't even notice and just went with the flow.

random thoughts
i wish the half encounter was a equipable thing so it was permanent until you take it off.
no encounters even better :(

the master must be really weak to run away from level 1 heros o.o

sprinting should not be disabled :(

the war stuff is depressing. we should of at least been able to make the elf ghost happy...

General dropped (too battle heavy)
...

Overall
if you love battles and plot devices give this a shot.

...Did you drop the game in the first chapter? If so, you did it too early since the game has five or six chapters. MotW's strong point is its storytelling.

Frogge makes Pokemon Fusions!

Torterra + Houndoom, Mew + Crobat and/or Scolipede + Moltres.

Announcing Mistress of the Wind

All this talk about gender equality and women's rights makes me laugh. I live in Finland and we were the THIRD country in the world to allow women to vote - seeing how Corf lives in Texas explains quite a few things about his views.

...I'm a woman and I have several male friends of all ages - my neighbor is one of the smartest men I know (he's a walking encyclopedia) and he's incredibly friendly. My dad is also an amazing person - he has a very short temper and tends to yell a lot, but he has never hurt anyone physically or verbally in all his 60 years of life (my MOM is more violent than he is). ...My nephew who's turning 17 never talks about girls - what I've seen of him and his male friends, they talk about random normal things like what they've done that day (we've also gotten really well along since he was a kid). And my best friend who I met when we were 6 years old? He's a guy - we've known each other for 21 years now. Corf's generalizations are painful to read. Just because your life is a mess doesn't mean all guys are the same all over the world. ...Let me guess, you probably only know rednecks.

PS. Back on topic, I would have LOVED to see an actual genderbent remake of MOTW. XD I've found genderbends fun ever since I discovered them for the first time (all thanks to anime) and I'm kind of curious about our 'new' Sparrow~ XD Also, how the hell would you guys even do female Enkur? (Kinda laughing about the idea of a genderbent Yaled the Hammer. wtf) Btw, I'm Raiden from the old Solest forums.
