Release Something! Day III: Demo Day Edition [June 20th, 2008]

I'm almost afraid to sign up because I've backed out of the last two, but sure.
I anticipated my release in June anyhow, so!

Why not. =X

Ashes
Radiate beyond the dawn
Illuminate the Earth,
Shattered sunrise left withdrawn
Close your eyes and face rebirth.

We wake to see the lonely flare,
Concealing mists and ashen air;
A world of flaming, scorching sky
The hallowed light shall pass us by.

Crimson tears fall down on me
Ornaments and fragile things;
Dangling from the Judas Tree,
Angels bleed without their wings.

We rest to face the burning blast
As scarlet shockwaves echo past;
Scattered ashes blacken the day,
Oh world of naught; blow me away.

Waves of Wonder
As I stand barefoot on the shore
Hypnotized by the ocean's roar,
Mesmerized by shimmering blue;
My thoughts keep flying back to you.

My thin toes sink beneath the sand
Feeling the wind caress my hand,
The swarms of seagulls circle me
My eyes engulfed by endless sea.

My arm erect toward lofty clouds
Following sun the nimbus shrouds;
I hear your voice across the skies
Remind me of those last goodbyes.

Dreaming of Andromeda
We're losing sense for space and time
As we take in the soft sublime,
The saffron stars light up our eyes
Constellations can hypnotize.

Burning, seething, radiant Sun,
Can tell of us of the things he's done,
As we depart and fall astray;
Come say farewell to Milky Way.

The golden hues can captivate,
Out floating, fleeting body weight
Stars sparkle like an opaque gem;
Just maybe you are one of them.

It looks very simple and attractive, Nightblade.
The torch-tops placed randomly on the walls look somewhat strange, but no big deal. :3

Development & Resource Guide

What is this for?
There are a number of beginners who often come to the community with absolutely no understanding of how to get started with their projects or where to look in finding appropriate material. So!

I've taken the time to put together an (ideally) comprehensive assortment from many of the community's well known (and obscure) resources. This content is not necessarily affiliated with RMN, and is property of it's respective creator. This is meant to be a broad guide, not only focused on expedience in locating necessary resources, but the creation of original content, as well.

If any member feels they have something worthwhile to add, please post with the nesscessary links and the list will be modified accordingly!

The "Stuff you should check out!" Corner

So apparently I was unaware of this particular topic existing on RMN. Would it still be advisable to follow-up with with an enhanced version; or just leave it be? (What I had in mind was something obviously more comprehensive, but!)

The "Stuff you should check out!" Corner

I guess my interpretation of what Kentona was suggesting was slightly off-base. I had in mind something similiar to one of GW's resource topics; ideally containing a helpful and comprehensive listing of various resources, utilities, tools, (etc.) that exist externally from RMN.

Obviously it would be unique to this site and worth checking out on it's own merits, due to the frequency of updates, obscurity of material listed, etc. A possibility?

The "Stuff you should check out!" Corner

I've seen a lot of these on other communities/sites and have generally found them very helpful. Unless someone else had wanted to do it, I may be up to handling it. It wouldn't even nesscessarily need to be all content hosted here on RMN; perhaps just various links of interest for the aspiring developer? :]

I don't nesscessarily concur with the sentiment that it should be redone on a weekly basis-- certain content is timelessly helpful for a dynamic memberbase. It could certainly be added to, though.
