I feel perturbed by the whole idea of time management. I don't like the idea of having my personal agency to do what I will be determined by self-imposed or external schedules. Needs can be met outside of such rigid parameters. Adhering to such a doctrines always feels like an assault on my personal freedoms.

Fred Rogers was a fucking saint. As a scholar of the history of children's television, I am offended that someone would blidly ignore the contributions he made to the field and his devotion to the well-being of children.

Honestly, what the hell is going on in American television? Have you guys lost all sense of what the news media is supposed to be about? They could report the study but holy cow it is SO not the reporter's place to comment on it like they do.

Fuck you, FOX News.

And if kids self esteem is too high its because parents have stopped instilling thier kinds with a sense of guilt and shame because they want them to feel good. It is a social mode of thinking that reinforces the notion that feeling good is better than being good. Like I have always said, the benefits of the Catholic tradition are often underestimated.
