Is it a remake? Or a sequel? Or should we ask...?

"Spiritual successor" is what I would call the later Zelda games.

Preventing grind: Why? And how?

author=LockeZ
Your points are very accurate and logical. But this assumption you make is wrong. And I think that's what makes the two systems work okay together. Specifically, point 1 is not an objective. Because each battle is its own unique challenge, the player's HP and MP are fully restored after every battle. There is therefore no need to conserve resources - rather, the player's goal should be on using their skills as well as possible to create effective strategies.

So you're not planning on having items then?

What's up with the damn profanity?

author=Alrubedo
Personally a curse word every now and then can be a good thing when dialogue becomes stale. Could you imagine playing a Shakespherian RPG without having something modern thrown in to wake you up from all the 'thee's', 'thou's', and 'thine's'?

Throwing something modern into such a project would be possibly the best way to kill suspension of disbelief, which seems to be the main gripe against profanity in RPGs. Unless everything was a translation of Shakespeare...

Bloodsphere

What's with the armor in this game? It seems to only reduce damage by negligible amounts.

I don't like how the thousands digit rests on the upper right corner of the character portrait. I'd recommend moving the numbers so that they are flush against the right side of the bars. Maybe you would have to lengthen the bars by a pixel or two in order to fix both at once.

Otherwise, this game is totally RUINED!
Are you kidding?!

Yes and no. I'm kidding about the game being ruined over such a small issue, but my suggestion to improve the UI was a serious one.

Well, it's still buggy. Rescuing the kid inside the tree leads to a crash, and the cutscene with Seide leads to the three running across the ocean until they reach the end of the world map, where the game hangs. I know that it's supposed to be a demo, but you need some way to block player access to incomplete areas.

That being said, the battle system shows promise. I like how it tells me when I sucessfully inflict a status aliment but don't like how I have to guess whether an attack did 10 damage or 70 damage.

Faith

I've encountered a serious bug on the latest version. After picking up Hedia, I can't leave her house, as there is an impassible tile right in front of the door.

Forgotten Wishes

Overall, this is a solid effort. The fights at the beginning seem a bit unfair, but that could probably be fixed by giving the player more money at the start of the game. I'll also echo what others have said about the vine puzzle--one of the hints is confusing and potentially misleading.

Forever's End

This is a very impressive effort. The battle animations in particular were very well done. The only problems I can see are the potential for the story to hew too close to Final Fantasy IV and some grammar errors in the dialog.
