Dark Knight...the video game
Lion King and Aladdin on SNES were pretty good. In those days SNES was good for movie games. SEGA not so much.
Street Fighter Tactics!!!??!?!
This is an interesting idea, however to pull it off properly, you'd have to sidle away from Final Fantasy Tactics, and consider something else. Using FFT as a base, we have the four directions of course. However, to use shoryuken and stuff more effectively, I think you should consider jumping as another direction: IE you could jump somewhere, but the movement wouldn't happen all at once, so someone else could go below and attack upwards. At the same time, a jump attack would hit people below in the line of fire. All in all this is a terrific idea. Send it to Capcom. :P
Final Fantasy XIII coming to... 360 and PS3 simultaneously
I'm listening to my ripped CD music (taken off via PS3) while typing this, and downloading some exclusive music tour footage, and preparing to slip back into Super Stardust HD again. Oh, this blutooth keyboard is awesome btw. :P
I appreciate 360 for party gaming. The PS3 is definitely more of a single / online / 2 man console. 360 is for when you want to play Halo and uh well other multiplatform games that have multiple player function...? Anyway the point is: I love my PS3, but I also love going to my friends house for some Rock Band or Master Chiefing. Both are good consoles; one for being a multi-use hardware, the other for being just fun.

author=Ashramaru link=topic=1523.msg25656#msg25656 date=1217331970Dang dude, way to debunk your statement. My friend and I have had little care about in this gaming era, because each of us owns one or the other. We've had it the same time, and he's sent his 360 in twice now because it keeps breaking. Now to open the disc tray he has to use a paperclip, and it's always fucking up.
Face it the PS3 is an overpriced piece of junk. The only real reason I would get one is for MGS4 (Awesome game) and BluRay, apart from that my PS2 does everything I need. :p
My PS3 has stuck it out this whole time, being moved about from place to place, going through firmware updates (a GOOD thing) and generally entertaining us more than Halo did. PS3 is not a 'piece of junk'. The Net, bluray, and video chat alone have kept me in continous satisfaction. Forget all the classics and PSN games I waste so much time on.
The FF13 shift is NOT a powershift. It's a way to make more money. That's the point of making a game.

Yep, there hasn't been a REALLY GOOD movie game yet. There have been OK movie games, like Spider-Man 2, but in most cases the games are just gawdawful.
I wonder if that's a fair comparison. There was a Riddick trilogy, movie and cartoons. It might have been more of a serious project than just a quick cash grab.
Batman Begins was alright actually, come to think of it. The problem I have with movie videogames is that they're never fleshed out or complete fully. They have some cool gimmicks or tricks, but that's about the long and short of it. I played most all the Harry Potter games, and the usually end up being balls. (Chamber of Secrets was awesome however, despite the atrocious storytelling)

Funnily enough the same goes for Video Games being made into Movies.
This is very true. Though, not quite the same kind of true. movie games tend to be quick renders, tossed together to pull in the movie-fan dollars.
Whereas Video Game Movies are trying to make money off ideas from a series of videogames. It's hard to simulate gameplay in an action film without it being a B-movie. Can you imagine in Tomb Raider if it was no dialogue and just a bunch of swinging to the next platform, missing and falling into water so she has to climb back up and try again?
VG Movies fail because we love our games too much and want a carbon copy on the silver screen. It doesn't translate. Don't take this in defense of the VG Movies. There simply shouldn't be any. Mario Bros? Double Dragon? Street Fighter? PUKE.
The best they've managed was DOOM and only for the FPS scene and Imp costrumes.
