Final Fantasy IV (DS)
At first when I heard about this, I was like F***YES. I love FF4, it's among my fave old FF's. However, after playing FF3 and seeing how much they managed to destroy it from the inside out, I really have strong doubts about FF4DS. Like, big time. In the biggest kinda way.
To point out what the heck I'm on about: In FF3, when you leveled up your job classes, you were also levelling up your characters stats. So a warrior would get plus str stat, say. When you change classes, you keep those stat upgrades. So, you can beef up your warrior and swap him into a mage for power-punch mage action: No. Because you're str stat would be high, and best suited for using a sword, which mages can't use. Your mp and mag stats would be too low to handle magic. So, you craft your Light Warriors through the Job Classes, and it was a sweet-ass game.
What do they do in NDS? Slip that stat building feature from under our feet. Now you only get stats for the class upgrades while still in that class. (IE: Warrior lvl.X would have X str stat bonus. Switch to another class, and stat bonus is gone until you switch back)
I know I'm ranting about the last FFDS game. However, this is such a huge change to the fundamentals of FF3, that it makes me wonder what they can screw up about FF4.I already know they're changing the story, what else?

Worst video games you've played this year
Anything for Nintendo DS. I bought it, and a pile of games; all of which are the worst not just for this year, but the past five years. I give kudos to Brain Age, but only because it has Sudoku, which is not original; so thus take back my kudos.
Gimme Boss Gimmicks
A good boss for me, is one that makes you work hard. Usual encounters are a breeze, but the boss should put your skills and sword to the test. If you don't die a dozen times and struggle to survive, the boss failed as a challenge.
ed + ps3 = happy ed
First off, what's your PSN name? Mine's Dudesoft! Go figure. :)
Other games: Call of Duty 4, Rainbow Six Las Vegas / Rainbow Six Las Vegas 2, Elder Scrolls IV : Oblivion, Heavenly Sword, Ratchett and Clank Future : Tools of Destruction, echochrome, Puzzle Fighter (if you're into that, which I am), Warhawk, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, Burnout Paradise, PAIN! (Surprisingly great for those 3am gaming moments, esp with friends over), etc
Take your pick, there's a fine selection for PS3 at the moment. Plenty to come.
I'm probably forgetting some, like The Darkness etc, but someone else will pick up those if necissary. :P

I just had potato chips for dinner.
I was jogging everyday last year. This winter killed my exercise habits, and I hardly eat when at home; just grabbing something quick at work. :\ Gotta start taking care of myself again.
Long story short, women suck.

2006 Releases - Master List
I think I'm late for the Misaos, but that's a great list. 2006 was a good year for putting out games! :D
Nooo
>:( Gawd damn it.
I really, really, really hate losing things.
First I lost 30+ hours of gameplay when the original game "Take Down" was corrupted.
Then I lost "Take Down Legacy Episode 2" when my laptop crashed. *being rebuilt from scratch.
I feel your pain, dude. Losing sucks anus. I'm learning slowly to back up my files after I finish for editing for the night.

Indie games that have impacted you
None so far. Though I'm thinking about talking to JayJFoxtrot about some ideas in Spike Lee's Twilight Zone.
Most all of my inspiration comes from me making fun of commercial games. Especially in the Take Down and Take Down Legacy series'.

Your Priorities
First of all: The joke. What's the first joke I can make?
Second of all: The Question. What will my game explore, or explain?
Third of all: The Character. Who will be best for this Question?
Fourth of all: The Story. What is the basic plot idea
Fifth of all: The Twist. When will I turn everything upside down, and what will happen?
Sixth of all: The Start! I start making the game with vague ideas in mind and let it flow...
Seventh of all: The Tunes. I like to search out and listen to a variety of music before really hammering out the maps.
Eight of all: The Monsters. It's fun looking for monster sprites... so I do that. Then make up special moves for them... when I'm feeling inclined.
Nineth of all: The Puzzles. I hate making puzzles... so I usually work out the kinks last.
King of all Cosmos: is cool and sensual.
