[RMVX ACE] Flashanimations as Cutscenes?
Hey everybody ^^
I recently started to plan for my Project, what kind of Features I want to implement into the Game and and I though: "wait... I can use Videos in the RPG maker, so why don't I make Flashanimations as Cutscenes?".
The Questions I have are:
1. In what kind of range can I use Videofiles
(is there a sizelimit in terms of MBs?)
and 2.If the filesize increases significantly,
should I make a Version without Videos too?
I hope you understand what I mean and
share your knowledge and oppinion with me ^^

An awsome peace of Survival Horror.
I've played the Demo already and I can recommend it.
I love the environmental mood of this game.
The only counterpoint is, that the Fighting system
can be pretty tricky with it's keybindings.
But I already told the Developer that
and I guess that will be fixed with the next Demo.

Is using the default resources in a Maker taboo?
I actually liked the RTP from the 2k to the XP.
but something on the VX rtp bothers me: Those blocky charsets
and how they influenced the Tileset.
I always Loved the tall Charsets because you can easily detect
Child-Charsets from grownups or teens.
I think that the RTP music is pretty good
even though I still prefer the old midi stuff
from the good old 2k/3.

Different ways of learning magic/skills
I have a really different Skillsystem in mind:
Every Charakter has 3 different skilltypes that can be leveled independend from each other.
Example: One Charakter is Weappon based and you can choose between 3 Weapon types.
Those weapon types only can be leveled by using one of those Weapons.
Also you can only use the special skills of the Weapon you equipped (so no Lance-Moves when you have equipped a Bow)
So much for my "active" Charakters. But there are "passive" Charakters in my Gameconcept too that have to learn Skills. Those don't have such a wide Skilltree.
They learn their skills a bit faster because they don't need to choose. But to make them use their Skills they need Items to consume and some of the skills need one round to work (because they first need to build stuff or similar)
I hope you kind of get what I plan on my game ^^. But I'm pretty sure that this type of Skill system isn't easy to make on the RPG-Maker...
