I downloaded the patch before you took it down, so here are some things I noticed:
1.the runing is perfectly done but it is a bit annoying tha I have to turn it on again after a save crystall.
2.the teleporter in petunia plain doesn't warp you back to the begining.
3.Where did the quizz tent go?
And since I played once already through the game(could't beat the final boss),
Cold you just remove or change that timing puzzle right before the final boss its kind of out of place and really just interrupts the ending. The space ship minigame is the same: makes no sense and is just a time waster.
Desert: when you encounter the plains you can't leave from every side of the map so you have to go around a pretty big map searching for it.
Pyramid: there is a puzzle which is just triall and error maybe you culd show the correct path for like 5 secounds.
thx! I will see which of these changes I can implement. I removed the tents because everyone looked up the awnsers on the boards making it a free item tent :P
Which puzzle do you mean in the pyramid?
The desert is intentional. So that you need to fight sometimes :P

1. encounters are supposed to not be annoying, really. they need to be turned off in puzzle rooms, and not be a "step, fight, step" routine
As far as I know this is the case now, if not please tell me where this is not the case and I will take care that this will be solved in 3.04
2. knives are kinda the best choice for physical characters due to losing a lot of speed for equipping anything else.
3. I had issues with the WP and SP rings sometimes randomly giving 0 in the other type. I don't think you should have a penalty on them. just make it a 25% boost to whatever one you have on. you're giving up a regen armlet to use it after all.
If that is the case there is a bug in the rings, becuase they should uncoditionaly give those boosts. I will look for this even though I cannot promise that this will be solved in 3.04
4. Let us turn the voice over off during roulette.
Good idea, I will take care that it will be turned off with the rest of the voices.
5. More magic boosting weapons for Lance.
Have to look for this one, seeing that summons are already buffed twice it might be op to give an indirect 3rd buff.
6. faster after battle results display.
I will try to make it faster, but if I make it too fast the menu will scramble. But i might make it a bit faster.

Sorry I removed the download because the dyn patch somehow screws up my damage formula's so I need to remove it and re upload the version.
Edit: I cannot seem to reproduce the bug...so I will re upload the version. If some encounters that orb magic does a lot less damage in some turns on the same monster please report it with which spell on which monster etc.

I would suggest going through the game and making all maps smaller and more detailed, as from what I played, it was nothing but large, empty, somewhat-square-like areas that, frankly, do your game no favors. Granted, in the time I spent playing, I was only able to push forward until the Petunia Plains.
Keep it constructive guys.
I know that the graphics that your game utilizes can be put to good use, and it's just a shame to see the game that you both think so highly of and ends the series would be allowed to look like this.
Yeah I was planning to do that in the future. It will take a lot of time though.. so it won't won't happen in 3.04 yet. But I agree some of the maps look dull and can use some polish. So maybe that will be the target for 3.05 or so.
Also you probably played an old version as well. Some of the earlier maps are improved in the later versions.

There is no reason I started with walking speed. Back in the year 2000 I decided in Final Tear 1 that walking speed was better and I kept that trend in the other 2 parts as well.
Maybe it's because most of the games I played then had a same kind of speed too.

Well since nobody addresses issues I guess I can upload the new version this week. So if you still have some issues please tell them.
Edit:
I heard some people complain that the levels build up slowly. Well this is because the game is so huge. If I used a more standard approach the characters need to have 250 levels.

RPGmaker 2000/2003 battle defeat/victory case

Oh, THIS problem...I had this problem as of recent (which was strange as it randomly happened to me when it didn't after 3 years of never happening). I placed my Full Heal directly after the battle (so at the very top of the Defeat Handler). That seemed to have fixed it for me (there were instances that instead of Game Overing, the game would lock up and not let you move on with dialogue. It's very weird as to why it does that...).
Are you using any patches at all, or just the default version?
I did use for rpgmaker 2000 the default version
For 2003 I used 1.0.6 a special patch that takes care that you can have higher stats for monsters and such. Now I upgraded 2003 with 1.08 cherry's dyn patch.
It also did not happen for 10 years that the event goes game over and now all of suddenly it does it random even with full heal after the battle.

You can save before every boss in the game. There are some bosses which have dialogue before it. You can either skip that dialogue or save after it :)
The battle system is indeed complicated and it is not mindless spamming of magic or something like that, there are multiple skills and abilities that influence eachother and can work together.
In the beginning this all might be very confusing and hard to understand. But when you understand it you will see that this battle system is very strategic and addicting to use.
In past the orb magic was very overpowered and you could only use that to win the game. With recent changes you are forced to use most of the battle skills.
