So far, my only complaint is the font, and dialogue. There are grammatical errors, but I can overlook them, since it seems that the developer and script writer(s) aren't native English speakers. What really, really, really bugs me, however, is the font. I haven't seen a font that blocky and eligible (un-readable) since the early erra of the NES and the GameBoy. Maybe it's a limitation of the RPG Maker 2003 engine. I don't know. All I know is I'm no longer a child, and it's no longer 1998. Game fonts shouldn't be that bad. A lowercase L (l) doesn't look like a Lowercase T (t)....
So far, that's my only complaint outside of the main issues of the RPG Maker limitations. Seriously, can we please have WASD movement?? But that's not the game's fault.
Another option is to install MS Mincho, a free font you can download anywhere.

I managed to find the first switch at the Dragon's Gate, pressed enter everywhere but can't find the next.

It is awfully slow and i can get pass the first part, when i try to open the menu yhe screen freezes
This game has many effects running in the background. Your graphic card must be able to handle them to play.
My own lag is when saving, as each save is taking longer...
