GoneWind: Steal should be in the main battle commands menu once it's learned.

Thanks, I didn't notice it since you have to scroll down to reach it.
Also, thanks for the bug fix (what about the lag when using "Find Traps"? Is it somethong which is unique to my laptop?).

As for the GOT theme, it sure is badass, so I can't complain :)

Tales of the Rhinemaidens

Bug reports: In the cutscene with the maidens, when the dwarf jumps into the water and swims towards the gold, the game crashes when he reaches the gold, with the massage: "The file FX-Light-06 cannot be opened". The crash repeats itself no matter how manny times I try.
Also, how do I use steal? I "Learned" the skill when I reached level 3 but there is no steal action to chose in the battle screen (or in the steal menu), as far as I can see.
Also, the skill "Find traps" seems to create lag in the game (for the skill's 30 seconds duration).

I really love the game's music, It's amazing. I kind of felt the transition in some areas between different kinds of music wasn't all that smooth, especially in the opening scene. The GOT inspired battle music was kinda wierd, but not unpleastent.

The explanatoin of the game mechanics at the start was way too long, and combined obvious things with really imortant pieces of info. It also felt a bit out of place, but I guess it's needed. For instance, I feel you could sum up much of the text to "esc: menu screen, 1: skill upgrade, 2: stat upgrade, 3: quest menu, 4: rest (not using rest will net you with some neat rewards". At least consider adding a shorter version tutorial.

All in all, seems like an amazing game, and I hope the little bug wiil be fixed, so I can contonue playing.

Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy II

I tried to write my thought about the game until... well, the game crashed (the same way it happened in the first demo), and like always I forgot to save. I'm sorry UPRC, your game is nice, but I can't play a game which randomly crashes unless the game has a way to quickly save and reload, since I am really forgetful.

# Title screen music is awesome, kind of a shame since most people will barely listen to it.
# Intro scrolls way too fast for me (I am a nonnative English speaker), although I managed to skim through the general plot.
# Not that I'm complaining, but aren't credits usually play at the end of the game?
# Oh, it's Locke, with a generic wake up scene :)
# I just love the FF6 introduction style of new Characters.
# You actually have a few typos at the start… weird.
# Love the town layout.
# I like the idea of the Augurers, but it feels kind of strange for them to have been formed only "several months ago" and already fighting monsters using summoning. Is becoming a summoner such an easy task? The organization also seems surprisingly organized for a newly formed one.
Also, Reiner is a veteran of… what?
# It's great how Zephyr and Reiner have two contrasting personalities, seems like a great source for humor later on.
# I like the battle animation, explanations by Reiner were nice and clear.
# Save!
# Mode 7 script seems to cause trouble. Surrounding is blurry while walking. Exiting main menu and battle screen has around 3.5 seconds delay (seems too much for me).
# Decent experience and gold won during battles.
# I seem to Sometimes encounter a small delay during battles, everyone start walking in place for 2-3 seconds and then continue battling. ATB experiencing delays in general…
# Seahorses aren't too bad, you can kill them with two Sonic Dives by Zephyr (costs only a measly 4 MP). They cast ice which is dangerous though. Both Sunbath and Sonic Dive are cheap and overpowered in my opinion for this point of the game, and I see myself spamming them for sure.
# Why is defence called stamina? Also, what is vitality?
# Ok, I ventured into the cave and it is nice for a first cave. I do feel like the gem collectors are a bit too easygoing. I mean, a few of those gems were really easy to get.
# …and it crashed. Oh well.

Love and War: Act I

Glad you enjoyed it, GoneWind. :) As for the older Act II demo, I'm afraid the save from the latest version of Act I isn't really compatible with it (all sorts of strange things may happen, switches being thrown that shouldn't be, items that ought not to exist, and so on), so I'd strongly suggest loading the default save provided if you want to play the demo. Hope you enjoy!

Thank you, will do :)

Love and War: Act I

Just finished the game and it was really fun and cute. I just checked the demo for act 2 and tried transfering the save file. Questions:

1) Many of the stuff I possessed in act 1 seem to appear as "blanks" in act 2. They didn't disapear, as I still have 13 or 1 or 4 of them, but they seem like they are not useble, just there, which is kind of funny (one of them is the skill progress item from act 1).
2) What I do strangely possess are two version's of Eramond's Legacy (33 of one version, and 3 of the other XD), one version actually slightly stronger than the other. I also possess "THE SWORD OF THE FALLEN GODS", a ridiculously strong weapon (500+ of every stat... and I have 2 of those!).
3) I also lost 2 skills to the blank plague, which is not so horrible, considering I never used them (wild shot and random buff).

Just wanted to say "Problem Solved".
Edited my last comment with the solution.

(Sorry if double post is a problem, I just wanted to make sure Admiral Styles is aware that there is a solution for the problem)

Sad, I really wanted to play the game. but it does not work for me. Might be a thing with rm2k games and win8 :\
Sorry to hear that GoneWind, I have heard that a few people with Windows 8 have had trouble with RM2K games. :( Is there any error message in particular that might give us a clue?
Thanks for replying.
Sorry for the late answer...

The error messege was:
"???? 'RPG_RT.exe' ???? 00403441 ???? F28B562B ????Reading?????????"

The crash happens only after 3 screens ("ASCII"+Something in japanese+"Development by...".

I thought it is me lacking RTP so I downloaded it, but it didn't help.

OK, I managed to solve this problem.
I'll try to explain so other people won't have the same issue I had.

Windows 8 seems to have two inherent problems with rm2k.

(a) The first problem is going to full screen mode, which causes the game to crash with the error: "DIRECTDRAW ERROR (DDERR_UNSUPPORTED)".
You can find the solution to this problem here: http://rpgmaker.net/forums/topics/10204/
The little program by "Cherry" works wonders.

(b) The second problem (which was what caused LaW to crash for me) is quite simple and annoying- windwos 8 seems to have no ability to play midi. In some games there won't be any music (sound effects will be present since they don't use the midi format). In windows XP there was a program that dealt with midi, so the RM2K games are trying to call for this program, which does not exist.

The solution to this requires two things:
1) A program that can run midi: http://coolsoft.altervista.org/en/virtualmidisynth
Be aware that you need to download a soundfont as well (you can find a list of those in the link I put above).
2) A program that sets your system to open midi files via the new program you just downloaded: http://www.benryves.com/products/vistamidi
I know it's called vista midi control, but it works perfectley fine for win8.

After you download both of those programs, you should open virtual midi synth and choose the sound font you wanted, than open vista midi control and choose virtual midi synth as your main program for midi files.

credit to this site (and an explanation that is more accurate than mine, but a bit technical): http://coolsoft.altervista.org/en/blog/2013/03/what-happened-midi-mapper-windows-8

This solved my problem.

Edit: Here is a nice tutorial for virtual midi synth:https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/midkar/conversations/messages/34524

Edit2: It seems you need to lower down the music a bit so you can hear the sfx and the voice actors. You can do it easily- after you open the game, look for a new systray icon called "CoolSoft VirtualMidiSynth - 1.9.0 (x86)", double click it and it will open a midi mixer, you can lower all music under master (or just certain parts of the music). Lower the "master" one untill you can her sfx.

Lakria Legends

I was talking about that hijiro-something mountain area. The game requires lots of backtracking, for sidequests, main quests, and even just plain mistakes (I ignored one of the feathers in the first run, which forced me to go look for it), and that means in the mountains area that you have to climb a lot.

Basically, my two main complaints about the game would be: too much backtracking (and barely any shortcuts) + you can never know which event is the one your supposed to touch (that supposedly harmless bush is a great example). Other nitpicks would be: minigames and some of the quests being really simplistic and rather boring and unrewarding (the fishing minigame for example), also most hidden treasures felt unrewarding (I mean, most decent weapons are sold in stores, and by far the best accesory- the mp halver- can be bought too-I don't think I'll ever choose a different accesory). I can't talk much about the enemies\bosses because My characters were overpowered.

Visuals were awesome (as I said, I really liked Ara Fell's style), music was great (I mean, I like Chrono trigger\tales\FF, so yea, it was great). Story and dialogue had me blush more than once (but don't be too hard on yourself, I read stories by professional writers and watched movies that gave me the same feeling), but I kinda liked the characters (Leon's change was way too sudden, If you haven't already done so, you should have him keep some of his former traits).

Generally, the game was fun, but it didn't have anything unique to make me say: "This is one of those rpg maker games I will remember". Despite that, I enjoyed the game, so I'll subscribe :)

Lakria Legends

Yea, all bosses up to the fire\greed boss were a bit too easy because of that. I hope the game catches up to me :)

Also the invisible wall problem seems to continue around musical notes (I just encountered one on the mountain, had to givr up on that one).

Edit: One more thing, the climbing speed on that mountain is super slow and annoying, taking into acount all the becktracking involved. I suggest to at least give the option to fall down from the mountain or something.

Edit 2: Finished! Fun, A bit too cliched, but I liked it, and you can see how much time and effort you put in this game.
