I have a bunch of these on my 3DS already so I don't see why I would care :V
ETA: Actually my real SNES still works fine so I double don't care. At least with the NES one my NES don't work so well, so I'd have some interest...

I'd love to play an official version of Star Fox 2 but I'm not gonna pay more than ten dollars for the privilege. I just hope Virtual Console for Switch is coming soon. :P
Like i'd like to get it just to have it but i know perfectly well it is quite a luxury that i could skip in favor of something better, like a RetroEngine Sigma.

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Star Fox 2 is an unbelievably bad, broken game. The controls are nonsense and it runs at one frame per second. All it had going for it was "Holy shit this game is THREE DEE!" Nintendo cancelled it after it was done because they realized it was so bad it would ruin their reputation. If they want to release it on virtual console then, like, whatever, but why the fuck is it one of the twenty games on the fucking SNES Mini?
Those games are available on Wii U, Wii, New 3DS, 3DS, DS, Game Boy Advance, and obviously Super Nintendo. Some of them are also available for iOS and Android. We don't need any more ways to buy old games. We're fucking drowning in them.

Ah, that's too bad. I haven't played Star Fox 2 but always thought it looked interesting. I doubt it, but maybe the SNES Classic version cleans it up a little? Not that I'm buying one.
As for reselling old games over and over, yeah, that's definitely true. I don't want an NES Classic or a SNES Classic for that reason. I just like having access to a few staple classic games on whatever current Nintendo system I own. If Nintendo doesn't offer Virtual Console, then I at least hope the online service offers enough games to not be worthless.

The version of Star Fox 2 on this thing should be a finished version that hasn't been seen before. I don't really expect being complete to make SF2 a great game or anything, though.

I just figured it was a secret code from Magus of Chrono Trigger, upset at CT not being in the SNES Classic (6666 is how many HP Magus has when you fight him, you see).

Actually 6666 is a reference to the Star Wars Expanded Universe novel where the evil clone of Emperor Palpatine orders Darth Lightsabers to execute Order 6666 which is where The New Empire flies the Dark Sun Crusher into the center of the galaxy and destroys the universe and only Luke and the gang can save the day. It ends when Chewie dies by somebody dropping a moon on him.

author=turkeyDawgThat'd be nice if they somehow improved the game; my understanding was that the prototype was 99.9% done and just missing some things like minor bug fixes. The biggest thing that might be an improvement is if the SNES Mini has a better version of the SNES hardware that doesn't have any lag or framerate issues.

But I actually hope that's not the case, because if the other 20 games all run faster too, then speedrunners will get PISSED. These are 20 of the most popular speedrun games, and speedrunning is what's keeping the SNES relevant, and it'll be pretty awful if they just effectively wiped everyone's records by releasing significantly faster versions of all the top games.
