I am an Education Major with my Master's degree in Early Childhood Education; I love to draw, write, and just make things in general. I got into making RPG games back in high school with RPG maker 2003 and found RPG maker XP to be my favorite later on. I also run a Youtube channel with my brother, Noraj90, where we play mostly horror and rage video games.

Blood Ties Review
Spoilers, darling.
I'm afraid I must admit that I have never seen The Sixth Sense, so I cannot appreciate the parallels you have drawn between it and what I have created. I have, however, read The Lady of Shalott during my undergrad in college and it was part of many medieval and early English materials that I read during that time. The name didn't ring a bell right off the bat when I read it here and I had to Google it, but after reading a few lines it came flooding back to me. The mirrors shattering was indeed to be in reference to her non-living state and it would seem that this piece of literature might have subconsciously influenced my decision to include this, though I had not done so consciously.
Further, I would like to thank you for taking the time to write this review. It has given me some wonderful insight as to the touches I have included and how they have influenced my players. I did plan to make more horror games with the RPG engine, but work and school got in the way. I still have one in the works, but it has taken me some time to get what I have done. Some more time is needed before it will be out as well.

Blood Ties
The door thing is indeed a bug; I fixed it, but apparently not in the version uploaded here. I don't know where I have the finished file (I have a new computer now) but the correct version has been uploaded to game jolt if you care to play still. http://gamejolt.com/games/blood-ties/61036

A friend of mine pitched this to me as. LOL so true. Pretty decent for a first try though."a Darwin Award Winner simulator"
Some bugs:
-Diagonal movement causes more problems than it's worth (especially with visual effects) in games that don't make use of it for anything specific. In cases like the entering the basement stairwell from the kitchen you can "skip" the change rooms event by coming at it from an angle, or even end up wandering in areas you shouldn't be in http://i.imgur.com/0RbwwIE.png
-You can call up the diary in the ending.
Design flaws:
-The sanity meter is useless. Nothing stops you from going back to recharge it at Teddy so all it does is generate backtracking.
All in all it was pretty funny and I enjoyed my time with it. The true end was the icing on the cake for me. Worst parents ever.
Thanks for giving it a try; it was my first submitted game. I did have some glitches in the early release that I knew of and fixed, but the weird thing with the stairs never happened to any of my testers. I'll make sure they try to break the game harder next time. :)
Blood Ties
Yeah I wasn't sure how else to end that portion, but there's a secret extra ending if you unlock all three doors that adds to it. I'm new to game making and storytelling in general (this is actually my first completed game) so any critiques are wonderful for future games.

so i assume you'll tweak the problems?
The few issues that were found by others on Blood Ties have already been corrected and are included in the new download. If you're referring to the new project I started, I'm hoping to get as many bugs out as possible before release. It's still in early stages though - I'm currently working on character art.
Blood Ties
There should be something called "Blood Ties Installer 1.1" under the downloads tab at the top of the page. It's a .zip file, but windows should be able to open it.
I just noticed that I'd forgotten to select "set as main download" when I uploaded the patched version.

I'd love to have someone online help out; the game I'm working on now is going to take quite a while to finish though. It's a mix between Harvest Moon and a dating sim, going more in depth into relationships, etc. So far I have the animals all scripted (pigs, cows, sheep, llamas, chickens, goats, rabbits, and bees) and the flowers in the greenhouse. I still have a ways to go.
Blood Ties
Yeah, I fiddled with that light for ages. I could NOT get it to go where I wanted. I put a lot of work into the game, but this is technically the first one I've completed, so yeah.
