I'm also all for a "Critique" section.

If a creator has any idea what they're doing, they should make their game good looking and sounding anyways. Putting them at the mercy of the reviewers still accomplishes this, if they want to get good reviews.

How do other people use the system? I am curious.

I honestly just look at everything there. Title, tagline, featured image, and score, in no order.

I think if we have a Like system it should be the same as on Youtube. Like/Dislikes show up next to or below the name of the game or something. (And yes, we should have dislikes if we have likes) They shouldn't affect the score either, since it isn't fair to have weight. If you want to affect the score then write a review.

Also, regardless of if they affected the score or not, they should be limited somehow. Like, you can only do it if you're a member for a certain time, or only so many per certain time period.

Really, I don't like the idea of it at all, it just seems like a scapegoat for lazy people who don't want to review the game.

EDIT: Also, I don't see anything wrong with having the highest rated games being the most visible to casual browsers. Last time I checked, that encourages people to come back to site/join, since they see some of the best stuff on here.

The less points there are, the more universal and simple AMBIGUOUS the rating system becomes.

This pretty much. I am beating a dead horse but 10 points gives you a better impression of the quality.

Yes, I forgot to mention that I am talking about a numbered 10 point system here, not ten stars. Why would I want ten stars?

I think showing the number of reviews is great feature, don't get me wrong. But adding more freedom to the score just seems smart to me. Maybe you think minor differences like .3/.4 of a point don't really matter, and that's fine, but I think it gives you a better idea of how good the game is just by looking at the score. I mean, right now there could be ten games rated 3, but they might not all be the same level of quality. Some might have been scored a 6 or a 4 on a bigger scale.
