Saw THE movie. It wasn't the best of the series but it was far from the worst, imo.

A friend and I went to see it. She's not a nerd, but she enjoys movies and even she thought it was a big step in a good direction as far as casting goes, but that it wasn't her favourite movie in the series.

I agree, though I kept away from the hype so I was pleased over-all with it. I heard at least one person walking out while we were waiting to go in saying that they didn't enjoy it, so I was worried, but I think there are certain things that certain types of people won't like.

Well, the movie is basically "A New Hope 2.0". I enjoyed it though and I think the upcoming movies will be even better.

I didn't join the hype train either, so I naturally didn't have any big expectations for the movie.

I've seen it. I'll admit, I didn't expect it to be as good as it was, but I can't really say it was amazing. The movie could have been a lot better. It looked like they were being really overcautious making it. They were being so careful making it "look like Star Wars" that the whole thing felt a little...stiff. It's like it was a Star Wars movie that was made by a bunch of people where nobody wanted to be the one that messed up Star Wars.

Like, instead of focusing on making a movie, they just focused on not screwing up.
