Rpg Maker 2003 Class Switching Troubles
author=kentona
When you do the class switching, do you keep the character's EXP/Level (there is a setting to have it reset to level 1, half the level, or keep it the same level).
I have to keep it the same level because this skill doesnt "make the character super powerful" it just gives the same stats but allowing you to attack twice and have double defense
Rpg Maker 2003 Class Switching Troubles
Alright so i've got my fighting system going on, and there's a specific skill that lets you switch to another class mid battle. Making the transformation was simple and it switches you back after a set amount of turns, but my real problem is when the battle ends. Now if I win the battle with the character using this secondary class, he obviously will stay that way afterwards, which I can easily switch back on the map screen, but the experience points will go to the second class, and when I switch back, its as if the fight never happened when it comes to gaining exp. This really sucks because there are several different skills that let you change into seperate classes, and this just ruins it. Maybe there's a simple way to fix it and im just stupid, maybe its not possible and i have to do it another way, but i'd appreciate some help, thank you

Not to sound like a tart or anything, but how did you pull off those lighting effects, it looks like an overlaying picture, but im not sure how one would create that

Hello! This looks great I'm downloading now, and by the way, would you mind sharing the ruby scripts you used? (exact scripts you are using, even if altered from the original.) That would be awesome :) I'm mostly interested in how you made the menu system because I would really like to use it for my own game. Or you could simply send me an unencrypted version of the demo so I can check it out. I'm simply bad at scripting and can't find any suitable Silent Hill menu scripts, or flashlight scripts for that matter.
The base script for the menu is listed in the opening credits, but it was just a base script, i had to edit it a bit.

I get it. For the record though, it could still do with a little toning down around the outside, or some texturing to make it less of a single tone all over. See the original to see what I mean.
Yes i see tinted tress as an overlay, looks like i'll have to improve the picture then, its not my first priority atm though

It's not blood in the SH games. The save point is always a mysterious bright red square/symbol/object which does look very much like this. It's like an in-series trope. Save at the red thing.
Thank god someone here acually understands why its like this, the save points you find in the game so far act as sort of a mirror, but later in the game it changes because of a certain story elemant :3

I'd suggest better lighting effects, they look too pixelated and take away from the overall effect.
Also those gridlines to the right and left in the darkness, they gotta go.
Unless it's some silent hill thing I'm not getting.
You must have a damn good quality moniter lol, i couldnt see them, but they'll be gone.
