Forever's End: Episode One Released!
Yeah, that's more or less what I expected. Kind of hoped he found some way of wrapping the chapter up instead of the game just cutting off.
Forever's End: Episode One Released!
On First Projects
You shold do "quintuple posting and beyond" and "necro bumping 101" while you're at it Gaia.
Sorry, had to get that out of my system.
You do raise some good points though, I've fallen victim to over ambition myself.
Impatience is another issue, its not just a matter of sticking to your project. Its the inability to plan ahead, wanting to see everything you think of materialise straight away. The "make up as you go" method usually ends up making a horrible mess.
Good start, try to expand on this a bit though. Im sure you could add a lot more.

Spyro is that you?! New Spyro
Unless , through magical means, this game manages to make the existing ones bad, Id say you guys might be over reacting just a tiny little bit. Maybe I just dont see it the way most people here seem to because Ive never really gotten into spyro games. Not that much of a big deal as far as Im concerned, the collectible toy cash'o'matic system sucks though, hope no one picks up on it. Its bad enough games are being sold in pieces thanks to DLC.
Breath of Fire II: The Fated Child (XP)
Looks great, but you should be careful about remakes. Fan games are usually fine, but making a free alternative to a commercial game, as unlikely as it may seem, can actually get you a red light from whoever has the rights (in this case I assume its capcom). Especially if what you're offering is an improvement over the original.
That said, it really does look great.

Sphere Scripting Tutorial part 2
author=Rhuan
Sphere has the default javascript functions (minus the specificly web orientated stuff) and then on top of that it has the functions listed ina file called api.txt that comes with sphere: docs/development/api.txt if it's not in there and it isn't some innate feature of javascript sphere probably can't do it directly, if you know what you're doing though you can code almost anything.... (hence where the tutorial comes in).
Perfect, thats exactly the kind of info I was looking for.
Thanks!
What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
Trying to find the time to beat Mass Effect 1 before buying ME2 for the PS3. ME sort of ruined JRPGs for me since the writing is so good that trying to play something like FF13 and its "faux french wtf are they talking about lets save the world with a chocobo in my afro" story, dosnt have the same charm it used to.
Sphere Scripting Tutorial part 2
Before I ask I need to point out that I havent had time to read through all of the tutorials yet, so far I just glanced over them to get a rough idea of what to expect. So if your tutorial alrady anwsers my question just let me know its in there somewhere and Ill figure the rest out on my own :D
How much built in functionality does sphere have other than the resource editors. Im talking default systems (menus, text boxes, ect.) here. I get the feeling that besides built in functions that handle resource manipulation and "gluing" everything together, everything else is up the creator. I dont actually have a problem with that since, in the long run, it gives me a lot more freedom. If I am missing something though, it would be good to know, since messing with some default systems would probably smoothen the learning curve.

Adalyn
Not really a fan of VX and its rtp since it makes everything look like plastic, but the custom art looks brilliant.
The font looks a little too "sharp" compared to the rest of the game, so do the portraits, but it would be a terrible waste to pixelate them for the sake of retro styling, so Im not surprised you left them as they are. Minor gripes really. Good luck with the contest!
