Red Wine can be used to feel the effects of "drunkenness" in small doses. And sure, I think there's some misinformation here. You CAN drink like 3 jugs of Moonshine, and almost be on the edge of death, and be fine. You'd literally have to drink 5 jugs, which btw, might shutdown someone's liver in real life, if you drank THAT much.

So you'll feel the effects, and you won't have any low health, since it's only your toxin levels. And the effects wear off when you walk around. Depending on how much you drink, it will take longer to wear off.

And the cocaine might be cheaper if you work for him, and get a "company" discount. :P

I don't dedicate much time into a particular feature unless it serves a large purpose. But in the case of this feature, it was a quick script. Even still, it will serve a few purposes. Why can you sit on benches in some games? Why can you drink in Mafia 2? What purpose does it serve to hire a hooker in GTA if all you do is lose money and see the car rock? It places you in that world.

And if you're going to be selling drugs in the game,why not be able to use them? Its all about the virtual experience.

Tell me a good reason why anyone uses cocaine in real life. They just do. just like your virtual character in Infinity IV.

Its life. All about choices. Some choices, have no benefit.

That's a curious touch - I was wondering tho, why does he 'cough' from alcohol -wouldn't the usual sound for drunk be a 'hiccup' noise ? : )
Also, so, does cocaine make him "sober" up ? ^^ Is that actually a thing?
I made a game sample with possible intoxication too once - but in my version the screen got brighter and fuzzy at the edges when they were drunk XD

The coughing works for him being "toxic". The alcohol can be extremely deadly in Infinity IV's universe. He was close to death in that demo. :O A little more, and he would have died!

I got inspiration for the cocaine sobering him up from the Denzel Washington movie "Flight". lol In the movie, he is a heavy drinker, and before flying, takes a few hits of coke to hide the fact that he's drunk. Lmao.

The fuzziness reminds me of Mafia II. If you drank, the colors would get fuzzy and bright. I might change the coloring in my game, but for right now leaving it this way. :)

Mother of god. Infinity 4! :D btw, can we do something else with the animals? Like, being able to craft weapons, armor, etc? I'd love to see that! :D

Crafting *might* be added in, depending on it's complexity. :) I might add that later into the development cycle.

You got it! This is indeed a "grow house", which is actually found in the "Bonsai Apartment" building (Bonsai.. kinda ironic). I wasn't sure who the grower should be, I was originally thinking a woman, but then I saw the old man with the cane.. and I knew he'd be perfect for the role. And all the lamps and stuff just fit perfectly. Notice the edges of fans at the top of the shot?

I'm thinking that maybe you will be able to deal drugs or act as a drug runner for him. Maybe connected to the mafia (which has already taken up residence in the game). Maybe he works for MDR.. the Mafia Doctor.. (a character you'll find in the City).
