I'm not trying to be Coolkid McSunglasses here, I just can't react in any other way than this to a video of some stranger dying.

A video of someone getting beheaded by some Mexican drug cartel doesn't really affect me. An incident where I'm in a grocery store and some dude suddenly starts flailing his arms and yelling "WARGLGL ARRGL" before exploding would affect me because haly shet someone just exploded next to me.

Whoever said that violent video games and all that shit desensitizes you to horrific real world situations was lying through their teeth, because I just saw the footage behind Encyclopedia Dramatica's "an hero" gif (I swear, before now, I thought it couldn't be real and was some cult-classic movie clip or some strange shit) and it absolutely floored me, despite being an incident that occurred before I was even born.

The only reason I'm mentioning it here is because I need to talk about it to get it out of my system so that life can go back to normal.

I wish there were more series like Fallout. I can't just stay optimistic and hope Fallout 4 will not relentlessly rape the lore like Fallout 3 did.

It's probably going to be even worse. The gameplay will be overly simplified to appeal to dudebro gamers. The story is not going to make any sense. The world will not be believable, and everything including the plot devices, items, characters etc will only exist because of the Rule of Cool, not because it makes sense for them to exist. The player will not be able to fail or make any choices that have any consequences. Especially if that egghead Todd Howard will be the director again, not to mention Emil Pagliawhogivesafuck as the lead designer.
