Loot whoring makes everything fun! It's probably the best reward system for having monotonous and difficult game play.

Stat ups buy using cash instead of leveling system.

I'm not a fan of giving the player the choice on what to stat to level up. It becomes a nightmare to balance. Plus, the player might break their game if they don't level up the right way.

For customization purposes, I prefer a talent system. Those are more interesting and fun. It's also a little easier to manage as well.

Well-defined DBS or primitive CBS?

I don't think it matters what battle system is implemented. Unbalanced battles, bugs, lag, they all don't care what battle system you put in. They'll bog the game down as long as you leave them in there.

Requesting Advice: Room Design in VX

To be honest, I didn't think you needed changes to that map. It looked fine even with those excessive cracks.

Kinda old. I popped it into RPG Maker 2k3 for layout purposes. I never intended for those tiles to be usable in that program, which is why some areas my look odd. I totally lifted the palette and design from pokemon.

The goal of a game

My goal is to beat the game. What I do to achieve that goal varies from game to game. In one game, I may take my time to collect everything. Then the next, I'm rushing through another.
