This thread is really inspiring me to make a game with as many of those words in the title as possible.

I'm really only in the brainstorming phase anyway with only a couple of little melodic things and chord backings written out. I could easily just not include the part from the last one and make up something else if push comes to shove.

Quick question. Am I allowed to like... retroactively decide that my Nostalgic Flashback song was the theme between the main character and former friend and then use some melodic material from my last entry in this one (think more like a mini battle-themed reprise than a remix). I'm not trying to be lazy, I just think thematically that would be a strong move and fills out the imaginary RPG I'm writing this music for. I'm aware it could ruin all anonimity, so I thought I'd ask before starting it.

Probably goes without saying, but this is taking me a lot longer to write than the last one. It sounds a lot prettier though, so I'm cool with that.

I guess I was thinking specifically of that flashback cene where Cloud and Tifa are on top of that slide and it's the innocent time when they are children, but they know they won't see eachother for a long time and then there's that cheesy shooting star. I think that a lot of people (me included) are going to at least be somewhat inspired by the music during that theme. And for FFVI, the coin toss scene between Sabin and Edgar has the heroic theme played all bittersweetly on the piano. I'm sorry, I elaborated a bit more than I intended.
I'm also thinking it would be really cool to have record popping and scratching but I don't think that would work with what I've written thus far. If anyone wants to take my idea go for it.
