Do You Remember My Lullaby
Ahahah, yeah well. :P Figured I should probably stick something interactive in there with something like this to balance it out. Although I literally decided and started on it during the last day of production, so there are some glitches.
What annoys you in a game?
I agree with Nightblade. All personal preferences of course, but it feels as if the modern types of RPGs like Oblivion and Fallout 3 are more or less a very different genre of games. While there are some great things gained, they also lost the classic charms of watching a story unfold in such a manner.
But again, they also do have many additional pros, and are basically just more or less a separate genre altogether.

Do You Remember My Lullaby
Heheh, thanks. I haven't seen Mamma Mia myself so I can't comment.
But I just remembered that I forgot to show the little trick here yet, so here it is:
*Please embed all posts regarding this little trick is in spoilers.
Let me show you a magic trick:
1. Finish the short story.
2. Go to your project folder, you should now see 5 new files named Wirt, Naeryns, Marc, Song, and Laeril.
3. Change the name of one of them to "Vikon" or "Salory".
4. Restart Lullaby's game file.
Enjoy. :)
(I just gave the direct solution there since I figured there are many on this forum who aren't familiar with Quintessence enough to go through the actual process. For those who are, you can see how that came to be by opening those 5 generated files with Notepad. c: )

I'm not sure if this is the best place to talk about it, but isn't Johnny 5 to R.O.B. just like WALL-E is to Johnny 5? R.O.B. + tracks = Johnny 5, Johnny 5 + A garbage box for body = WALL-E
Nevermind the smaller details of course, in which there are many for both.

That video typifies how badarse Johnny 5 is.And WALL-E wasn't badarse at all. :~

If ya want to call out the robots with similar exterior designs, don't forget R.O.B. which came out before Johnny 5.

@Rei-:
Love how the pano and canopy tileset near the bottom blend so well. Very nice, great atmosphere there.
@Max:
I personally found the pixely aspect to be a neat touch, and the screen overall is very attractive. Only problem for me is the door - it seems to be a lot smoother than the rest of the area, and stands out a lot.
@Kentona:
Nice, me likes. It's kinda hard to choose which one I like better though - probably the first, although what looks like a gradient overlay kind of fogs it a bit too much imo.

Thanks for watching guys!
@Liberty:
Heheh, originally I wanted to focus solely on the parents' hardships as the theme; it may have been better with just that. I then ended up adding a bunch of other things such as the divorced state and the like as I was making it, and ended up trailing pretty far from the original plan. Glad ya enjoyed it.
@Max:
:p
@Hali:
Aye, the slowness was certainly a problem, even considering the genre. c': I think some scenes could've probably been cut with some edits to achieve a better pacing with some parts.
@Draki:
Heheh yeah, I'm sure this has a selective target audience. Essentially, you are watching a mother making a cake for 25 minutes. It's certainly no epic/adventure-genre RPG (or even a game) per se. For something perhaps a bit closer to that, see Quintessence if ya want. c:
