I'm just a guy interested in making an RPG. I started using RPG Maker way back in RM2k days. My first game was wiped out when my old CPU crashed so yeah.. I decided to make a new one and have been working on it ever since. I mostly enjoy lurking around the RMN forums but I've decided to become more active in the community. I can be a smart-ass at times, but I'm generally an easy going friendly dude.

The trick is life doesn't work when weapons actually break the skin. If she was clonked upside the head Cloud would be able to pop some down on her and not have to dunk her in the pool with the sharpest drop in the world.t

I defiantly agree that more RPGs (amateur or not) should implement some kind of system that makes dying suck less. I'm intrigued by most of the ideas presented in this thread so far. Personally I would like to thank this thread since it made me question my own game's game over design.
