Twilight 2......Anybody going to see it?
I got dragged along to the midnight launch with Joanna, and while we were queuing (at half pissing ten for a midnight showing), I noticed that there were maybe three, four, other guys there, a couple of them had been dragged along by their girlfriends and the others just plain looked and sounded gay.
The entire movie I was surrounded by girls squealing and giggling while Jo just sat there crushing my hand.
I've seen Twighlight, or rather, I was bound to a chair, may as well have been with chains and duct tape, and made to watch Twighlight, and it seemed OK. It wasn't terrible and everything seemed to resolve itself, even if it was really predictable.
New Moon seemed to just set a bunch of things up and go "Actually, I'm not going to resolve any of this so that people will HAVE to bother with the third one, but I better end it with (if you've seen/ read it, you know) so that the fangirls will still be excited anyway!"
It really didn't impress me because it just didn't seem to go anywhere, it's like the entire film served as the first arc of the next film, which I guess is a commodity whenever there's a series.

Hey guys, I know I've not posted much artwork recently, but I do plan on sharing more of my stuff with you guys.
Here's three new drawings from the past week, it'd be good to hear your thoughts on them.
This is a concept for a villain called Renatus. Rentaus is Latin, and according to my research means rebirth. Renatus keeps finding fault with the world and so, every so often, he causes a cataclysm to reset it and start afresh.
After restting the world multiple times, he notices the same beings always taint the world for him, humans. From this, he decides that instead of endlessly resetting the world, he'll simply eradicate humanity as that's the only way he can see to stopping war, pollution and deforestation.
... Yeah, he's a bit cliche...
In Uni at the moment, I'm designing a robotic character that I will later make in 3D. This is just one variant of the head and it's very Satr wars right now...
Yes there had to be some fan art in here somewhere! Here's Son Goku. Not much to say on this character that you won't already know.

The Main Character and his Dynamic in the story
I prefer to use three set main characters. Two main characters who, though they share common goals and work together, are at different ends of various spectrums from each other. Ying and Yang, if you will, and then have a third main character to referee between them. Seems to work for me, even if it does sound a bit tried and tested.

Just got back from the MCM Expo. Had an amazing time there, it was awesome! Met two other Spartans as well, there was an amazing Mk VI Master Chief by a guy called RedTogusa from 405th.com and another guy in similar armour he bought from eBay. There was also a guy called Peter Cooper who'd built a freakin' Warthog! That's right, a full size Warthog. It was quite amusing actually, when we went to see the Warthog be unveiled, me, my housemate and the other two members of the 405th got mistaken as having come with the Warthog, when in actuality it was just a coincidence. We couldn't move for about a half hour because people were taking photos XD
I didn't take many photos myself (kinda hard to find a pocket for a camera in the armour, but mine and my housemates girlfriends took a few which I'll post here for you guys to enjoy. There's bound to be others pop up on the web and if I find a decent pic of the Warthog, I'll post it here too.

My full armour, just before we left. Unfortunately, the upper legs of my armour broke off and were beyond repair so most of the other shots don't have my upper legs in them. My housmate's upper legs broke later in the day, so we eventually matched XD

The weary warriors.
I had an absolute blast, thanks to anyone who was at the Expo for making it a fantastic weekend! I'm going to several conventions next year but I might retire my Spartan costume as it took a lot of effort to travel with it and by the end of the day it's taken a lot of damage. The lower half of it is in a state of such disrepair it'd be easier to rebuild some of it.
I didn't take many photos myself (kinda hard to find a pocket for a camera in the armour, but mine and my housemates girlfriends took a few which I'll post here for you guys to enjoy. There's bound to be others pop up on the web and if I find a decent pic of the Warthog, I'll post it here too.
