Spartan Cosplay Progress

Currently working on the Assault Rifle, again making the base from cardstock. For the visor we were thinking of buying visors intended for use in bike helmets. At the moment we've been considering the ones that go into downhill moutain biking helmets. We figured gold tinted motorcycle visors would be too expensive and might be slightly too bulky to be easily fitted. To do the pattern on the front of the visor, we were looking at getting a tinted sheet of film or accetate or something we can easily cut and stick to a gold tinted visor to give the effect of a dual layer visor without having to buy two visors and chop into one.

Spartan Cosplay Progress

It's cardstock base, and we're gonna fiberglass it next. Once it's fiberglassed we're gonna sand it to smooth it out and then paint it.

Spartan Cosplay Progress

Now working on the right arm, then it's onto the leg sections and boots before I strengthen it, reinforce it, and paint it. Oh, and fit a visor.

What do you think?

Here's my housemate's progress, he's currently ahead of me by one bicep XD Being a bastard he has to make all his pep in green *rolls eyes*

Oh, and seeing as we're going as red and blue I redrew our multiplayer emblem in PhotoShop to make a stencil from so we can spray it onto our armour later.

This is just a small .gif preview but the one we're actually using is at 300dpi and takes up half an A4 page.

City or rural (suburbs)?

I live in a weird place. We're classed as a city because we have a cathedral (well, two, just because, y'know, we can) but we're really not that big. The 'city center' is very small but it just means that all the shops are really close together and we have a great selection considering. If I go to London I can only find a few good stores dotted here and there, at home the good shops are round the corner from each other and in plentiful supply.

I'd call Norwich a large town at best, but I kinda like it here. If I could have this city, with different inhabitants, that'd be awesome, unfortunately this is the UK and

is the goddamn norm here. Seriously, these fuckers keep breeding! Remember kids, if you become a teenage mother, the government will give you a free house and pay your bills for you! Thansk to this, stupid chav kids from numerous council estates keep having sex young and unprotected, having a kid, sponging off the government, ignoring the kid, then the kid grows up to do the exact same thing and we wonder why the recession is going to continue for years to come...

Worst game you personally do like.

Hmm, lemme have a think...

Megaman Legends 2. I fucking loved that game! =D

Saint's Row 2. GTAIV should have been more like this.

Jersey Devil. Old PSOne platformer

Galerians. It was an awesome PSOne game that went for large doses of psychological horror and epic battles with psychic powers. Loved it. Had a really shitty sequel called Galerians: Ash, but I hated it so much I never finished it and regard the ending of Galerians 1 as the one and only ending.

Star Wars Episode One Racer. It was Star Wars. It was awesome, OK

Star Wars Jedi Power Battles (PSOne version). See above.

Star Wars Masters of Teras Kasi (or however you spell it). I guess I'm just a sucker for Star Wars games.

Relations at work place

I dated someone from my workplace once. Big mistake, things went sour quite quickly and it made work really awkward, our work mates started siding with either me or her and it caused a mini rift in the place. Glad she quit a couple of months after that actually.

Worst videogame character.

Tidus wasn't so bad. I don't get what you're complaining about. His clothes were a little weird but it's a fantasy game, if they wore t-shirts and jeans it'd look a little out of place. I found Wakka more annoying than Tidus.

My most annoying video game character would have to be... Dom from Gears, especially in Gears of War 2. The steroid abusing, anatomy defying hard man suddenly starts droning on about a wife he never bothered to mention in the first game. I'd have accepted it more if it weren't out of the blue nd used purely to keep pushing the game along at points. Also, I had to play GoW2 co-op because his AI kept fucking about.

Close second are the minions in Overlord, those quotes get old fast.

3D Gamemaking interest, know of any resources?

For modelling, I'd recommend Silo 2, there's a 30 day free trial, but after that you hafta pay.

This link http://www.nevercenter.com/videos/tutorials/ has proved to be the most useful place for learning 3D for me.

Forcing RROD?

Graphical glitch seems to come and go as it pleases now =(

The Black Mages

I've had some Black Mages stuff for a while now. I quite like them.
