Retro Game Challenge: The Best Thing Ever
This sounds brilliant! Most of my memeories revolve around Sonic and the Mega Drive (gaming since '91) but I still had an old Atari 2600 and my cousin's NES which I played regularly too. Looks to be a great piece of nostalgia.
Left 4 Dead: not your standard zombie game
Got the 360 version. I found it to be a little on the short side, me and some friends getting through the whole game in just a couple of sittings, but still extremely tense and fun.
The multiplayer doesn't appeal to me too much as I feel the infected are awkward to control and use - maybe I'm just not well practiced enough to use them efficiently yet. It also seems that more experienced players have found a lot of areas where they can attain an unfair advantage and abuse the level design.
I've also played CoD's Nazi Zombies, and whilst it's zombies are more relaistic, it doesn't have that same urgency about it. It's very well done and fun to have a quick blast on but it's just doesn;t have the same feel or atmosphere about it. I can play Left 4 Dead for hours, but I can only go a couple of rounds on Nazi Zombies before getting bored.

My Girlfriend's Moving In! =D
I wouldn't worry about us suffocating each other too much. I have uni and a job, and she'll be working full time too. Also, she'll soon make friends and have her own stuff to do in her free time. I've also warned her that I'm having at least one gaming night a week with the guys.
... Now I'm worried we won't spend enough time together, having said that XD
8 days to go! =D

What games were released in 2008 [HELP FILL IN THE BLANKS]?
Zombie Invasion
I'd get up my stairs, then throw a sofa down said stairs to block them. I'd then take an inventory of canned food supplies and find a blunt weapon. I'd also fill my bath with clean water, along with my sink. After that I'd have to wait it out and try to survive for a couple of months whilst the living corpses decay.
So, uh..this pissed me off...
To be honest, the only time I've drawn naked women is in life drawing classes. I don't see anything wrong with it. Hell, my girlfriend's even offered to model for me when she moves in =D
Their comments did contain some honest critiscms that you might be able to use, however, the way they put it across was completely arrogant, hurtful and uncalled for.
Keep at it, keep practicing. If they really got to you that badly, prove them wrong. Use it as inspiration if nothing else.

What happened?
I can't say I've ever had any problems with it. What times are you trying to access the site when you get these errors?
Post Count?
People tend to judge other members by their post count very quickly, as they assume time spent on the forums translates into being a decent member, failing to acknowledge it's the quality of someone's posts that matters, not the quantity.
It tends to remove a certain level of elitism (not that we have an issue with that) and puts everyone on an even playing field.

Cooking seems to be whoever can be bothered to cook that night. For example, last time she was here I made spaghetti bolognese (the only dish students know how to make it seems - though I also do a decent curry XD), she made a fry up the next night (she knows how to treat me =D), then the night after that I got in my speciality - take out. Just seemed to work like that for the week.
Whoever cooks, the other washes up. We're both responsible for keeping the room clean and I think I'm in charge of clothes washign and ironing. Gotta double check there. We've discussed it a few times so here's hoping they stick when she arrives.
Oh, and I already set a very important ground rule, if she uses anything on my bookcase, it goes back on the bookcase - exactly where it was. I told her leaving discs out of the case or putting them back in the wrong case is a death penalty as far as I'm concerned (it's my one big niggle). At the same time, if I ever break the spine of any of her books, I'm equally as dead XD

Thanks guys, we're both getting really excited about it!
We've already been setting down some ground rules, and when she's been visiting she usually stays a while due to the distance thing. Most of the time it's for a week or two and we both talk about how we got used to each other constantly being there - I know a week or two is nothing compared to what it'll be like when she moves in but at least it's a positive indication.
We're taking it seriously, I don't get involved with a girl unless I mean it, and she's at the point where she's done with messing around, dating and experimenting.
It is a totally new ball game as some of you have said, but we plan to take things as they come. That currently means excitedly counting down the days XD
