An amateur game developer/spriter at 19 years of age. I'm interested primarily in rpgs, my favorite being the Dot Hack series, but I'm also fond of many others including Final Fantasy, Legend of Dragoon, Star Ocean, Dark Cloud, Shadow Hearts, Breath of Fire, etc.
The game engine I use is mostly VX Ace, though if I feel like it I can switch to another one at any time, as I happen to adore the projects made in 2k-XP, as well as VX which I also use. Below is a list of my projects I'm currently working on, will be working on in the future.
Current Projects:
Tears of Samsara (Current)
ToS: Shards of Xielba (Hiatus)
Synthetic Odyssey (Team, Hiatus)
Butterfly Chronicles: Palemoon (Hiatus)
Cancelled Projects:
NightinGale (Wanted to test rm2k's waters, but gave up on it.)
They Come (Mess made in a week for an event that was scrapped half-way through.)
Tester For:
Lithia (Developer recently returned, though this is still cancelled)
A Reason for Magic: Santoo Rinba (Cancelled; turned into Moon & Star Preludes)
Chaos Divine
The Grandest of Dreamers (Developer's gone missing)
Future Projects:
Stream: Spirits Within
Final Fantasy Tactics: Blood Solstice (A re-balancing hack for Final Fantasy Tactics with a lot of palette swaps)
Pokemon Soluna

About to do a large marathon of classic SNES/Playstation RPGS, any good recommendations?
Now there's just the question of which game to start with..haha, and having so many to choose from, oh my~ xD

Well, I do have a PSP, just not FFIV for it, and my cash is severely..well, lol, anyway I do know one version of FFIV I'll never go through again and that would be the DS one. Graphics were..well better than FFIII at least, but the difficulty was downright abysmal once you went inside the Giant Golem. Could not for the life of me get past Rubicante no matter what I did, and what made it worse is that you also have to fight the other three elementals before him in a row..ugh, gave up after like 10 tries or so. (And, I was pretty damn high leveled too.. :P)
Lmao, ANYWAY, I don't think I'll do a run through of Star Ocean on the SNES since I have the one on the PSP, and have done a run through of it about twice, though thanks for all the great suggestions guys, I think I have more than enough to keep me busy..for like, a month or two? xD

Hmm..sadly, my laptop isn't up to speed to run PSP roms/emulators. So, as much as I want FFIV for the PSP, it won't be anytime soon because of my "very" low cash flow, haha. I'll stick to the GBA version on that one~
Also, quick question, is the original SNES version of Star Ocean the same as First Departure on the PSP? Been checking out several screenies, and the two look almost nothing alike, aside from the artwork.

author=ankyloYeah, quickly checked out those two; screenies and such, and they both definitely seem like something I'd like~ :3
I'll second Paladin's Quest and Secret of the Stars

Since I did a run through of FF2 on the psp sort of recently, I think I'll take that one off the list. Definitely FF3 is out, after seeing what's in store in FF5. FF4..idk, I might run through on the GBA with that patch fix, but probably not right now, and yeah FF5 I'm definitely getting a run through. (GBA version, lol~) Thanks for informing me on that GRS, can safely cross a few out. ^o^

Well, for the titles in the ones I wouldn't be trying, what it really means is that I'll be putting them aside until the very end. Want to get the ones I'm more into out of the way first, then going through ones like Earthbound~ :)

Welp, thanks guys, quite the time I'll be spending on these, but keep the titles coming! :D

So, yeah, basically I haven't had the chance to try out a ton of SNES rpgs yet, and was wondering if anyone knew some good ones? Other than Breath of Fire/Chrono Trigger/Dragon Quest/Final Fantasy~ :)
(Same for Playstation One rpgs, but I'm going with those after the SNES ones.)

I want to play this game on ps3! http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/robaato/cryamore-a-true-first-class-take-on-the-action-rpg?ref=live
Wow, looks like I'm not alone in wanting this game to happen! Lol, I'd contribute to it myself..but, monetary problems~ :x
*Spoiler* Reading the story-line of my current game project. Everyone will really going to be surprised with the ending.
author=MarrendI've never read Romeo and Juliet, but yeah it's not difficult to figure out how it ends, to be honest. :o
If this is about Future Helper - Science and Magic - Family Reunion Waror however it's supposed to be titled, the game-page pretty clearly indicates that the story is based off of Romeo and Juliet. If this is still the plan, anybody even vaguely familiar with that work can take an educated guess as to the game's ending.
