Major Set back... :-(

What exactly did you do when you "fiddled with the files" to get it working on Vista?

You probably won't have to redo your game from scratch though; worst case, you have to remove all the skills from the database, then add them back.

You could also try loading a backup copy of your game into RPG Maker 2003, on your old XP laptop, make a small change to the database, then save it and see if that fixes the problem.

Your game uses the RMG 2000 font, which is one of the 2 standard default fonts that are installed with either RPG Maker 2000 or with the RM 2000 RTP.

I've uploaded them both to my locker:

harbin91, you said you installed the RTP, but you didn't say for which one.
Because there's two of them: an RTP for RM 2000 and one for RM 2003.

Stop redoing everything again and again--that's just a waste of time.
Instead, finish the game, wait for people to play it and give feedback, then based on their recommendations, go back and fix whatever you feel really needs to be fixed.

Because even if you keep redoing your games over and over trying to make them perfect, you won't succeed.
And you'll still have to go back and fix whatever needs fixed after you get feedback from those who play it.

As for the video, what did you expect?
You used a song that everyone's already heard a thousand times already--not that it's a bad song, or that it doesn't fit with the theme of the video, it's just been overexposed
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Good_Life_%28Three_Days_Grace_song%29

And you advertised your video on GW--think about that now: the RPG Maker site that doesn't really want to be an RPG Maker site anymore and barely tolerates those types of games now.

And then you removed it when you only had 5 d/l's or so (because most people just click the big DOWNLOAD button, and never bother to check the download section, or read the blog or discussion, so most people didn't even know about the video) after you got one negative response from someone who didn't even bother to download the video.

So, you didn't even wait until enough people had downloaded it to get a large enough sample to draw a more accurate (and unbiased) critique of your video.

That version has a few bugs in it that were fixed in this version:

( This version's the same as the one on You-Send-It )

To Arms!

That's why I suggested using WinRar to manually extract them.
To see if the crash still occurs when using a different extraction method.

To Arms!

The RMXP & RMVX installation executables are just self-extracting CAB archives.

So, you can use any program that can extract CAB archives, like WinRar or 7-Zip, to unpack them.
