A New Question
Okay. It's working now. I think it was just one of my own errors from trying to copy/paste things and that's where things went a little crazy. I did manually for each and every direction and things worked perfectly. Now, all I need to do is add in the other sentries and things will be awesome.
A New Question
I think I've figured it out, now that I know it's using the fourth quadrant. The problem is, When looking up, it shows 5 instead of -5 for x values. So, down should be, < 5 and > 0 while up should probably be < 0 and < -5 respectively. If it doesn't work, then I haven't a clue what the problem might be. If you can get access to the program at any time, and figure out what might be wrong. It would be appreciated. Also, I might have to completely start over it, if it happens to be that I screwed up on one part. Maybe I should not have done the copy/pasting and did all by hand until I went to the next sentry. Oh, well. I wish I could test it now... but... <.< at school.
A New Question
Okay... yeah. I understood it perfectly, and got it working...... sort of. After testing (my sentry just goes up and down), It doesn't work when they're facing up, but it does work when it's facing down. And I copied down everything to your exact specifications... unless I screwed up somewhere...
A New Question
Believe it or not, I understood everything in there. I may not be THAT good at figuring things out blindly, but give me an explaination, and some examples, and I will probably get it. With enough work, once I go through this a few times, and REALLY go through it, then things should go smoothly. Luckily, it's all hallway areas, so my patrols trying to spot me through walls aren't going to be that bad anyways.
Also, I've done nested conditions. I've had to do so because my game has four different starting characters, and at certain parts of the game (especially when it comes to NPC reactions), I need to make sure one, or more, character needs to be specified. So... I think I'm set there.
[In the future, I may, or may not , have a question on causing objects to move a space to a certain point.]
If I need any other help, I'll ask. Thanks for the help.

Odd happening here...
I tried making a new map, but none of it worked. But I figured out what the problem was anyways. I started messing with the pathing for the tiles. The white tile in the upper left hand corner was marked off so I could make an invisible wall. Well, I made that tile pathable again, and everything started working again. So, to make sure I could still make the invisible wall, I just chose another white tile that I could remember. Thanks for your suggestions all. Looks like I figured it out after all though.
A New Question
I want to start a stealth portion of my game, and I'm not sure how I would be able to make it so if an NPC sees the player passing in front of them, then they get caught and you have to start over. If anyone can help me, I would be very greatful. Thanks for your time... again.

Thanks a lot for the suggestions, I'm going to create the map without events first to see if everything works, and then go from there. If anyone can tell me how to make it so if an NPC sees you, the event activates, I'd appreciate it. (I'm trying to do a stealth thing here... and it would look weird if it only happened if you accidently touched the NPC...)
Odd happening here...
I'm using RPG Maker XP. I'm a new at this, so I might be a common newbie error, but for some reason, I transfer my character to another map, and it's stuck in that spot. I've tried to figure out what went wrong, but I just can't figure it out. If there's no other solution that anyone can figure out, should I just create the map over again?
