You're correct. I don't sketch and I go straight to drawing. I'm not sure how to force myself to sketch out everything before thinking it the drawing is ready. I should read up on some tips for that! :D

How to get XP-like maps in VX/Ace
This is how I've been mapping in Ace! :D I've also formatted Celianna's parallax tiles into actual tilesets.
I'm rather curious of how you got a water auto-tile that matches the grass on the on the cliff tiles, since the water tiles she uses for parallaxing are much larger than a normal auto-tile dimension would be.

And yes, angst can be grating for some. Oh well, YMMV after all. But I feel they make the best stories and tend towards some excellent characterisation if done well.
