I first got interested in RPG Maker after watching X-Play do a review of RPG Maker for the Play Station. Years later I found RPG Maker VX Ace and decided to buy it. My first RPG Maker game, Dragon Lancer, was approved by Deckiller and became available to download on January 15, 2013.

Game / Engine Count:

RPG Maker VX Ace = 12
Visual Novel Maker = 3
RPG Maker MV = 2
Ren'Py = 2
Pixel Game Maker MV = 1
Solarus = 1
Inform 7 = 1

VX Ace: Scan/Libra-like spell?

Yanfly has a script for that, but I'm not sure if its a spell.
When the enemy s defeated I know you can press a button later
to view the enemy stats.

VX Ace: Items that trigger a cutscene

I'm not sure if this would work, but could you make
a parallel process that constantly checked to see
that the variable was equal to a certain amount?

Hint: custom damage system. All "basic" attacks are switch skills, so certain equips/conditions can get ignored. I just finished the system, so it distinguishes between guard and miss.

Very tricky to use white there.

Are the character all wearing a costume, status effect there.

work for gold?

This is a double post....

work for gold?

Sort of like having quests and getting rewards for them.

One to the dome, homie. [Ammunition System] [RM Ace]

Sounds like a character in Xenogears who can equip different guns and
different kind of ammo.

PSA: The GPL/LGPL Licenses and You

When developing a game I keep track of all my sources in
a Word document. That way when I write my credits I
can't forget to include anyone who I have used material
from.

People like Yanfly, etc... are really cool for proving their
materials to the community. I think crediting them is the least
I can do for all their hard work.

[Poll] What RM engine are you currently using for your game?

I only own RPG Maker VX Ace since I have only recently started making
games (around November 2012.)

Sharp Stuff Plus Bullshit Equals Sharper Stuff

Tales games have some of the simplest synthesis systems around.
They are easy to understand, easy to use, and you want to use them
because you always get something very useful out of it.

Star Ocean wasn't so simple and sometimes you could get different results
based on your crafting skill (even fail.)

If you want something really complex you can go
Elder Scrolls....

The yellow text here is hard to read. The effect where its
darker at the bottom gives it a blurry effect and doesn't
help with the background here.
