I first got interested in RPG Maker after watching X-Play do a review of RPG Maker for the Play Station. Years later I found RPG Maker VX Ace and decided to buy it. My first RPG Maker game, Dragon Lancer, was approved by Deckiller and became available to download on January 15, 2013.

Game / Engine Count:

RPG Maker VX Ace = 12
Visual Novel Maker = 3
RPG Maker MV = 2
Ren'Py = 2
Pixel Game Maker MV = 1
Solarus = 1
Inform 7 = 1

RMN is a huge competitor for Steam!!!

author=Sgt M
What's funny is that itch.io not only allows you to link to other storefronts, but it has a game profile field specifically to link out to a Steam page.

Steam had a part that asked me to link my homepage for my webpage, that's originally why I linked the page. And prior to this denial, all my other pages got accepted. I don't think the reviewer carefully looked at RMN or understood what it was. I have experienced some other inconstancies with review over the years.

itch.io has an option to upload Steam keys, so that when people buy from there they also get a Steam key.

RMN Christmas Card: New Decade Edition

I got to be a bloody dragon in the Eat the Cactus game, it was bloody awesome.
How many of these things are there now???

Post Release - Marketing Struggle

My second game on Steam has over passed sales of my first game. Yes, 1 key is marketing, but another important piece is price.

I way overpriced my first game. So, my second game was released at a wayyy lower price and I ended up overselling my first game. (Got back my 100USD too, something I still haven't achieved with my first game.)

Summer Sales is coming soon. If you have a lot of people who have wish listed your game I suggest a 30% sale or something like that.

[Devlog] Endgame

"Endgame"

This made me think this was an Avengers video game.

My games got Pirated

Maybe write an official sounding cease and desist email to them? You don't have to legally pursue them or anything but it might be worth trying to scare them.

A lot of websites like this are based in countries like China. They don't fear legal action because legal action is not possible. These websites have games like Final Fantasy 14, I'm small potatoes to them.

Bad news, which are also good news? It shows that your games are popular and that people enjoy them enough to put effort into pirating them.

This is the light I'm seeing it in.

Norilsk gets PC gaming article

Clicking on that link had to verify or some shady shit before sending me to the site. What's up with that?

I think it's trying to check if you're a bot or have malicious software. I have seen it on some other sites. But not 100% sure.

Steam Game Page Available

The most difficult part was filling out some tax information. If you're not American you will need to be able to prove it too.

If you have a logo / main image in mind for your game you'll need to provide a lot of different dimensions for it. Knowing how to use Gimp (or photoshop) might be the best skill to have for this part.

You'll need to take a video recording of your game too. I suggest Camtasia Studio.

You will need to pay 100 USD before you can do anything.

Inhuman Resources

It's hard to believe so many people are on board with this?
Where are all the naysayers?

Rmn Gem? Oh, you!

This game deserved it. It was pretty decent.

Updated demo and Kickstarter

It was a while since I played this game. I have been playing some VN on Steam recently and this looks like it can stack up against them. Your kickstarter goal is quite high though. Perhaps reaching too high and wanting to make your VN too long or epic. If you can't reach your goal I hope you can still make a short VN with this content. It's pretty hard to have a kickstarter for a VN unless you are well know or your novel is going to include certain kinds of content.
