As foolish as he is for ignoring us
we are foolish for continuing to try and get through to a guy like that.
There really is nothing left to say(that hasn't been said 25 times)

Better not try something annoying twice after it failed the first time.
Does that mean you won't be making any more games? :D
Liberty is trying so hard to be nice(its hard with this one, eh?) heh
I refuse to give this game another download to just prove what I can clearly see. Keep up your thick-headed temper tantrums. It all adds up.
There have been non insulting pieces of advice that result in "YOU'RE ALL IDIOTS" so at this point there is no reason to keep on trying to be nice.

with IE sometimes people dont realize that its running with addons disabled. check your shortcut.
trying a different browser is the easiest thing to do and will probably zero in on the problem (browser related as opposed to PC related)

then you either have flash blocked or not installed/updated. that white window is a flash based application. try a different browser or do flash troubleshooting.
*try firefox, you dont have to switch all your browsing to firefox, just try it for this one site. also you can try compatibility view mode in IE8.
also reinstalling flash is an easy thing to do that could possibly fix the issue.

For example, how would it be easier for you to tell the staff that you think game X should be purged
Don't make it into a public debate.
The great purge topic went to shit because people don't like being publicly bashed on their game and the discussion that follows can get a little out of control(guilty). If someone puts forth a game that should be purged, require that they make a civil arguement (in private, directly to staff in a PM) with facts and maybe screens to back it up and that's it. Don't let them see what the developer said about it because then they would be compelled to retaliate. Just have the case against a game made and leave it up to a discussion between the developer and staff. Don't even announce if a game ends up getting purged. Do it quietly behind the scenes.
Or maybe a change in the way games are screened before accepting(but that's a differnet topic).
As far as making it easier to tell the staff...having a link on the main page that actually shows who is staff, would be helpful. Put it at the bottom maybe, along with "About, Terms of Service...". A "contact us" or "staff" link. There was one time I wanted to PM someone in staff and I had to browse through forums until I found a place where they posted in order to get to their profile. Not everybody knows the names or even the correct spellings of staff.
On that note, what do you think would be the best (or, at least, a better) way to tell us that you'd like us to consider a thumbs-up system?
I think polls are a good idea. Just don't make the poll the main determining factor of the end result. It's true that a click of a poll doesn't allow you to elaborate and give reasons why, but the poll doesn't have to be the thing that decides it. It's just an extra set of data to go along with the full fledged discussion which will obviously hold more weight. A side dish, if you will.

It's so hard to keep cool when responding to a post like that, but I will try. I'm not trying to make this into personal attack but your ignorance towards basic design principles is appalling to say the least. Most of us take gaming seriously and we know a thing or to about it. We're trying to help you and you just ignore solid advice. You come into this forum with games such as this and you seem surprised to hear such negative comments. Then you just make things worse by the stance you take when presented with criticism.
Even if there is a way around, if the player can enter a situation where they are stuck and have to close the game and restart at the last save, it IS a glitch. There is no way to sugercoat it or explain it or rationalize it. You deny the fact that it is a glitch but then you say it gets fixed later anyways. If it's not a glitch then why would it get fixed? You can only fix something that is broken.
There are hundreds of games on this site. When someone decides to play a game, your game, they are not obligated to finish it. They will only want to finish it if they are drawn into it in the first little while of playing it. This is fact! It doesn't make sense to say "it gets better later on". The fact that you are not listening to your audience means that you will never be successful as a game designer. If you do not cater to your audience you will fail infinitely. Don't call them idiots, your not making any fans. He took the time to download it and play it, which is more than I would do so hats off to that brave man.
